Months passed by, and Y/n had started to grow a bit paranoid. Her father still had not shown any signs of revenge plans being made nor put into action. She stayed on alert at all times however, spending her entire days either with Frigga perfecting every magic spell she could find or at the training grounds sparring until dark and sometimes longer.
Loki was worried about her. He didn't like that she was constantly overworking herself and burning herself out. He'd often try to distract her as long as he could to try to take her mind off of everything, which she appreciated greatly, but her main focus was preparing for the worst. Their two-year wedding anniversary was a day away and Loki had a great idea on how to distract his paranoid wife.
Loki found Y/n in the library studying a spell book. "Y/n, what would you say if I suggested that we try to convince Odin to let Thor's Midgardian friends come to Asgard for our anniversary celebration?" He asked.
Her face immediately removed itself from the book and she looked at Loki with a look of complete and utter confusion. "Loki my love, are you feeling quite well?" She asked in response.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" He asked.
"Darling, you despise Midgardians. Especially the Avengers." She answered.
"But you do not. And if it would make you happy to have them here then I will happy to help you convince Odin." Loki told her with a smile.
"My love you are too kind to me." Y/n said grinning.
Loki and Y/n went to the throne room to find Odin. The guards opened the doors and the two of them approached the throne and bowed to Odin.
"Loki, Y/n, what have you come here to ask of me?" Odin asked.
"Can't your son and his wife visit the Allfather with no ulterior motive?" Loki asked.
"Of course. Y/n sometimes does visit with me for no other reason than to keep an old man company. However, you, my son, have yet to come to me with no request in mind. So, I ask again, what have you come to ask of me?" Odin answered.
"Allfather I was wondering if you would be so gracious as to allow Thor to bring the Avengers here for mine and Loki's anniversary celebration." Y/n said timidly.
"Have you gone quite mad Y/n? The Midgardians do not belong in Asgard any more than a goat belongs at a banquet table." Odin replied not angrily but not gently either.
"Oh, please Allfather. They needn't stay long. They might arrive with Thor and leave immediately after the celebration. It would mean so very much to me." She pleaded.
"And, if I might add, could help her to relax a bit." Loki chimed in.
Odin pondered a moment. He did not care for mortals in his realm, his queen had nearly died last time but luckily Thor had run in just in time to save her. But he also knew how tirelessly Y/n had been working herself since she found out her father had sworn vengeance.
"Very well, but if anything should go awry because of their presence in Asgard it will be on your heads." Odin said.
"Oh, thank you Allfather! I'll have Heimdall send Thor word at once!" Y/n exclaimed.
"No. I think you'd better give word to Thor yourself." Odin told her.
"I beg your pardon Allfather, my telepathic magic is not yet that strong." Y/n replied.
"Then tell him in person." Odin said.
"Father are you suggesting she go to Midgard?" Loki stepped in; concern written on his face.
