His mind started rewinding what had happened.

He asked wether hinata wants him to revive them, she refused, he tried to fix it, but somethings are beyond fixation.
He shattered her, he done many horrible things, no excuse.
No excuse for what he had done, only he can pray for god's forgiveness and try harder to fix what can be repaired.
For the villagers, sasuke was a horrible man, but he was trying his best to fix everything, but what they surly knew about the love effect by the uchiha's wife.

Once was said that the demon may fall in love with a human, and watch the demon change to the most gentle angel, after falling in love.
For love, the curse, that makes the strongest fall to be the weakest, the weakest become the strongest, by the power of love, angels turns to demons, demons turns to angels.

But he changed...he did.
And she knows, she heard, she heard sasuke every night, crying and praying for forgiveness.
He wasn't crying with only tears, he was sobbing, wailing, weeping.
He cried every night, hinata heard and saw, every time she urged to sooth him, but backed away.
Until that day. She heard the murmurs.
"Please, god, keep my child safe, please god, keep hinata safe, i know i have done many horrible things..." sasuke hiccuped.
"Don't make me suffer again through them..., make me suffer but not them..." he kept weeping.
"God, i did unforgivable things, but you always forgave, forgive me god for i have sinned..." he wept.
"I love her god, keep her safe, i don't want her to love me, i want her to be okay..." he cried
"God, please, make her forgive me...i love my family, please god, grant me this final wish..."
"I am a horrible man, i know that, but please...forgiveness is what i seek"
"God, if hinata's happiness not with me, take her and make her happy, even if i am miserable, i want her to be happy..."he cried.
Hinata heard, this is the most unselfish line she had ever heard, for someone as possessive as sasuke, now she knew, sasuke really did change.
Hinata opened the door to his room.
Sasuke turned with his teary eyes.
He saw hinata looking down at him, he starred into her pale orbs.
All of a sudden, hinata had leaned down, and pulled sasuke to a tight embrace.
Sasuke's eyes widened, he never anticipated such moment.
Hinata started caressing his dark hair, and she started humming comforting tune.
Sasuke pushed her away.
"No, i don't deserve this..." he growled, as he was crying.
Hinata walked to him, then she cupped his cheeks and wiped his tears with her thumb.
Sasuke pushed her away.
" i don't deserve it please, leave it hinata..." he sobbed.
Hinata walked toward him, she hugged his back.
Sasuke didn't hug her back, instead he kept sobbing.
For hinata she knows, regret...its even greater than any other feeling.
Guilt, it can consume you and kill you slowly...the worst death ever.
Sasuke was guilty, he was empty.
"I am sorry..." sasuke cried
"I am sorry that i let you down..."
Yes, sasuke let everyone down.
But hinata, she knew; sasuke endured her worse treatment, not that he didn't deserve, but its enough.
Another chance maybe? Everyone deserved a second chance.
As long as redemption and guilt is there, you can always seek forgiveness and change.
Everyone can change for the better, some can't, some won't, but it doesn't mean you can't try to be better.
And for hinata, she knew he deserved a chance, now he is worthy of it.
"Shhhh...." she turned him to face her.
She pulled his head down, clutching it to her chest.
She caressed his head, resting hers on his.
"I forgive you...." she murmured, but only she must seek another answer.
And she knows how to seek it.
