Chapter 16

The door of the interrogation room creaked open, revealing a drowsy looking jake.

" what the hell are you doing?" He asked.

I put a finger to my lips and gave him a warning glare, signalling that my subject was waking up.

He inched off to the side as I stood up and took my dagger from my belt.

I took a bucket of water and poured it over my victims head.

While he slowly came to, I tapped my foot impatiently on the floor.

The sound echoed throughout the small room as he slowly opened his eyes.

I smirked.

" finally." I took the dagger and placed it on his throat, looking him dead in the eye.

He avoided my gaze.

Crap. He knows what I'm capable of.

" who are you working for?"

I growled.

I already knew he worked for the man who captured me , but I didn't know what organization it was.

" cut off one head."

His face started to turn blue as I felt the blood rush from my face.

" two more shall take its place."

His eyes started to roll to the back of his head but, his last words were.

" hail hydra"

I dropped the knife and brought my shaky hands to my face, covering my mouth in shock.

HYDRA captured me.

" so hydras behind all of this?" Steve asked as he paced back and forth across the room.

I nodded my head gravely.

" they must be trying to get to you." Thor suggested to Steve.

" by getting me."

" but wait . They would've killed you then."

" no no no. Their making me a weapon, to destroy Steve. Or their other plan is capture me, and lure Steve over there, so they can kill him."

" we need to find their base. Stark?" Clint asked.

Tony turned around and stroked his beard carefully". JARVIS. Start the tracking for Hydra."

The AI responded quickly." At once mister stark."

" shall we go Bruce?" Tony asked.

Bruce nodded and followed him into the lab.

Four months later.....

We were still on the hunt for hydra.

So far no luck.

Steve and I were closer and we've been dating for four months now.

" you ready?" Steve asked me, holding his car keys in one hand.

I nodded and smiled." Yep."

I followed him out the door and slid into the car, slipping on my seatbelt quickly.

Suddenly my phone buzzed.

I pulled it out and almost screamed at the text.

" Steve!! Did you know JANE AND THOR ARE ENGAGED!!!" I squealed.

He smirked." Thor told you didn't he?"

He nodded." Ya."

Was all he said as he drove down the road.

I shook my head and smiled with disbelief.

" when's the wedding and where?"

I asked.

He thought for a moment and pulled into a parking space.

" next month, and in Asgard."

I smiled." Yes!" I yelled and pumped my fist in the air.

He smiled and shook his head at my actions and opened his door.

He ran to my door before I could reach for it and opened it.

" my lady." He said bowing slightly.

I smirked and took his hand." Why thank you Steve." I said in a fake British accent.

He grinned and took my hand, leading me into a small cafe.

We took our seats at a small corner table and sat quietly.

Just like teenagers, we snuck glances at each other, once or twice.

And once the other looked, the other looked away blushing.

Finally the waiter came.

He eyed me.

He was only young, sixteen or seventeen.

" may I take your orders?" He asked, only to me.

I smiled." Ya. I'd just like you to stop eyeing me."

His face turned red and quickly looked to Steve." Ya leave my girlfriend out of your life. I'd like a coffee."

I nodded." You still drink coffee?" I asked in disbelief.

He shrugged." What can I say, darling, I love my coffee." He said and leaned across the table and kissed me on the nose.

I wrinkled my nose and smiled." Well I'll just have a hot chocolate." I said to the waiter.

He nodded and rushed off, after receiving a glare from Steve.

" don't scare him off." I said, slapping Steve's arm lightly as I smirked.

He laughed lightly and leaned back in his chair." He was eyeing you." He pouted.

I shook my head and shot up at the buzz from my phone.

" is it Jane again?"

My eyes widened and my pulse started to quicken as I showed him the message.

" we found them."

They found HYDRA.

Let the battle begin.
