The couple of days that passed after my walk around the mansion were days that Andre spent with me. Some days he would just quietly sit in the corner of the room on his phone while some days he would be in a full conversation with me.

One day he even brought a game of Jenga with him. Our laughs had cause Alessandro to pop his head inside to see what we were doing.

His eyes had widened as he saw us both lying down on the carpet floor with a stack of blocks between us.

"Is Andre Valentino playing Jenga!"

Andre looked at Alessandro and waved a hand at him shooing him away.

"You're breaking my concentration."

Alessandro rolled his eyes before leaving with a smile. The door flew open and closed making me look up with a raised brow, to see Elias.

"I have some news for you."

"Good or bad?"

"Good."

I smiled brightly.

"What is it?"

"I've decided that we'll let you leave, so you can go back to your normal life. But you must swear to forget about your time with us."

"Swear to forget... So forget Andre."

He frowned but nodded.

"Does he know about this?"

"Not yet."

I frowned. I had just made a buddy, the only buddy I have in life. And now I have to forget about him.

"And what if I want to stay here?"

"That's not an option."

"Am I allowed to say goodbye?"

"I think its best if you leave a note."

I frowned but nodded.

"When do I leave?"

"Tonight, Alessandro will drop you off at your apartment."

I sighed, nodding.

"He won't be long... Sorry the decision was took so long."

I ignored him, pulling out a note pad and pen from my nightstand drawer as Elias turned and left the room.

My hand hovered over the page not really knowing what to say but then the pen connected with the paper and I began to write freely.

It wasn't long before Alessandro came and got me. Making me put a sack over my head before I got into the car.

"Sorry Ms Highland, it's just for extra measures, in case you try and come back."

"Your alright," I assured him.

It didn't take us long before we were moving, I closed my eyes and listened to the dull voices of the radio before Alessandro spoke up.

"I can't help but ask, were you and Andre getting emotionally attached to eac-" I didn't even let him finished before I was letting out a long line of "no's."

"I assure you we were only friends, well something like friends," I sighed.

"Well that's a relief," Alessandro said after a long pause.

"I'm surprised really."

"Surprised by what?"

"All of you men. You were pretty kind to me, not at all how I imagined gangsters."
