That single sentence.

I raised my gun in the air, shooting at the ceiling, causing the whole club to freak out and run for the exits.

"You alright?" I asked, whispering in Grace's ear after I scanned my surroundings, looking for any other possible men who work for the Valentino's.

She nodded into my neck, tears spilling from her eyes. I picked her up, causing her to wrap her legs around my waist — well as best as she could with her mini dress on.

I turned to Andre and Alessandro.

"Search the area and question that man, we have Valentino's roaming about."

The two nodded.

I turned, making my way back up stairs, into the private room.

How stupid was I? Obviously stupid enough to think that she would actually do anything like that with a random man.

I sat her down on the bar top in the private room, brushing away her hair that covered her face, wiping away her tears.

"Grace are you sure your okay?"

She pushed away from me, making me frown. Just as I was about to repeat my words, she spoke.

"How did you even know I was here?"

"Im a mafia leader, it's my job to know."

Graces's P.O.V

I hated how it looked like Elias genuinely cared for me, it made things so much harder. I came to the club tonight to forget about Elias and the mafia's but here I am, in Elias's arms after a gun being held at my back by one of Valentino's men and in addition to that, I was harrased by him.

And Elias was here to save the day.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why do you ignore me for a week straight and then... Do this?"

He paused. Then sighed, running his hand through his hair.

"Im sorry."

"I know your busy but–" I groaned, shaking my head, "–No, I'm sorry... I always make you run after me and apologise." I looked into his eyes, "Ive thought about things and I don't like the way they are... I want you. And you alone."

There was a pause. The only reason I knew he had heard me was because his grip tightened on my hips.

"Elias," Alessandro called, banging on the door to the room. Elias's head snapped towards the door, then back to me.

"Those are some dangerous words, mi amore." He pulled away from me, walking towards the door.

"Whats going on?" he demanded when he yanked the door open.

"Amongst the commotion I spotted another Valentino. If I had gone after him he would've noticed and ran, so I shot Andre."

"Is he dead?"

"Dying."

"And your sure the valentino's man saw."

"Yes."

"Right well, we better have this place secured and locked down before Andre can be up and running again."
