I had just finished my shower when there was a knock at my door. Quickly I wrapped my towel around me and grabbed my hairbrush, starting to brush my hair as I walked to the door and opened it finding Elias on the other side.

I smiled at him "hey."

He didn't smile or say hi, instead he pushed past me gently, walking into my room. I frowned, confused, but I brushed it off.

He placed down a white ballgown that had a silver sparkling mesh layer with shining stars on it along with silver heels, a tiara and long elegant earrings, on the bed. It was my stuff i had wanted for the kids birthday.

"Their birthday party will be starting when we get there." He said blankly, looking anywhere but me.

I put my brush down. "Thanks, how did you get them?"

"I went for a drive to the house last night."

I hummed. "Is everything alright?"

He turned to me, with a look of seriousness I've only seen in his eyes the first couple of days we met. I was taken aback by his attitude after last night.

"What's wrong!?" I asked stepping towards him.

"Last night was bad. It should've never happened. You and I can never get close."

My eyes widened slightly, stopping me in my tracks.

"Look, I know-"

"No, I don't think you do. My men are starting to doubt me because I haven't done anything about the situation we're in, especially with the Valentino's now starting to attack my men in New York. I'm being called weak, and that is not a good thing at all."

"Well why are you blaming me!" I almost shouted as I threw my hands up in the air.

"Because since you have been here I haven't gotten as much work done as I would."

"And that's my fault!" I yelled this time.

"In a way yes."

"Your the one that decided I'm the key to your dumb big plan," I hissed stomping over to him, "did I tell you to open up about your past, no that was you. Did I ask you to bring me here and involve me with your family, no that was you. Did I even ask to be in this situation, no you brought me into this by taking me in the first place. It was all you, so don't blame me for anything,"

"So what if your men call you weak, show them that they are wrong you fucking idiot, your the leader not them! I can't believe I even have to be saying this to you!"

He stood there frowning down at me.

"I don't fucking care you see, I don't care about you or anyone else here! I am only here because you brought me here!" I shouted at him as I poked his chest. I immediately regretted what I said, because it wasn't true. I couldn't deny it, I had gotten too attached to his family.

He grabbed my wrist gently but firmly, leaning down so close to my face. Only a centimetre from my lips, his beautiful eyes staring deep into mine. I bit my lip wanting to cower from him, but I stood my ground.

"Nothing will ever happen between us. I swear that."

I scoffed "I don't want you anyway," I said rolling my eyes, "not every girl wants you."

He leaned in ever so slightly, I breathed in his scent and opened my mouth letting out a shaky breath. Our lips barely touched, both of us kissing each other's breath, when suddenly he pulled away.

"Last night was a mistake, so it's better we forget about it." He said turning away from me before walking out of my room abruptly.

I stomped my foot on the ground once the door was shut, as if a small girl having a temper tantrum. He can't just leave me like this, how unbelievably infuriating. I was now angry at him but also hot and bothered. I didn't like this feeling at all.
