Chapter 12: Natsu's Burn

I let Virgo and Loke take care the blossomed-hair dragonslayer. He’s finally sensing the mood when he decided not to follow me, don’t get me wrong, that’s a good thing. Very good thing. Poor Loke and Virgo, though their injuries from there oh-so-necessary fight wasn’t serious, it still hurts them.

I was now staring into the ceiling overhead that had sheltered me away from the world for the night. Hidden underneath the warmth of the blanket, my mind subtly drifted into the sea of thoughts that couldn’t rest. Today was the third day, today, I make my decision. I shifted to my side and stared into the pink tattoo on the back of my hand. Fairy Tail. The time when I finally became a professional Fairy Tail mage, I had celebrated my heart out. And without Natsu… It wouldn’t be possible. Such good, no great memories.

It was just about 6:30am in the morning. I stared outside the window, dazed at  the dark, murky  grey sky. It was the start of a gloomy winter morning, as I opened the window the wind outside gushed in and gave me the chills. I looked outside and the whole globe was clothed in white. I’m surprised Natsu didn’t invade my house yet, maybe he did give up after all. I needed to get this done over quickly, hoping out of bed, getting changed and brushing my teeth. I walked closer to the door and put on a hat and a coat and stepped into the outside world.

My brown boots sinked into the white, thick snow, the temperature was so low that I can see my own white breath escaping my scaly dry lips. I digged my head into my wooly scarf and walked onwards to Fairy Tail, you could hear my boots crunching into the blanket of ice.

And there it was, Fairy Tail. I stood outside….admiring the Fairy Tail guild symbol. Am I really going to quit Fairy Tail, all because of my true feelings for Natsu?

“Lu-chan..” Levy stood there, in her broad white jacket. She was completely covered and her teeth were clattering like crazy. I gave her a smile, glad to see her after a long time. She began to blubber. “Lu-chan….where have you been? I been so..worried about you.”

I extended my arms out, welcoming Levy into my arms. Levy was crying so much that it looked like her eyes are about to melt, she then just went for it, she ran into my arms and squeezed me so hard. I began laughing, seeing her like this. “Aw, Levy don’t cry. It’s okay, it’s okay.” But her loud weeping made me starting to sob as well. But I tried to hold it back and continued to comfort Levy like a mother soothing her little child.

After that, I walked to the room, where I spill my decision. The master’s office.

Three knocks was all it took to get Master Makarov to open his door.

“Ahh, Lucy, what has been your final decision?” Master Makarov allowed me to take a seat on the comfy cushion that was laid on a wooden chair.

“I have decided….to leave the guild.” It hurts…..it hurts to say such words, I never thought I have ever needed to speak of it.

“If that is your wish, then shall be it, but I do suggest before removing the guild mark is that you greet and say goodbye to all of your friends in Fairy Tail.”  Master Makarov opened the door and there stood...many of my friends that I have cared for and shared many memories with for all the time I have spent my life in Fairy Tail, a guild that I have admired for many years and a guild that I have loved more than another.

There was Gajeel, not showing his serious looking face, Levy having a handkerchief over her nose, giving weird noises each time she blows into it, Erza with eyes that showed my reflection, telling me that she’s at the edge of crying, she tried to hold it in but in the end, she began to bawl.  Wendy and Romeo were sobbing like little babies, hands over their faces to hide their embarrassment.
