Chapter 7: Determination From The Heart

P.O.V. Lucy Heartfilia

My eyes fluttered open, the sunlight rays shining into my eyes were trying to fry my raw eyeballs, the burning sensation gave me butterflies in my stomach....

I sat up on my bed and rubbed the back of my head, yawning, I stretched my sleeping arms before reluctantly standing up and headed over to the bathroom to wash my new awaken face. I looked at Lucy Heartfilia, standing in my mirror. Blonde hair, chocolate eyes and a model-like body. I tied part of my hair strands into a little pigtails, I pulled a blue shirt on me along with a black skirt and walked out of the door, into the burning heat.

The town was filled with chattering conversations, but as I entered the huge building with the fairy tail guild  mark, it was filled with screams and bizarre fights.

Suddenly, I felt an urge to talk to Natsu, hear his boisterous voice, to see his wide smile. I looked over crowds and crowds of people, seeing if there is a pink head around. Where is that spiky pink head?

Then I saw a moving cherry head, walking through a crowd. There he is! I quickly quickened my pace, but then I halted to a stop, Natsu was having a conversation with Lisanna, my heart sank a little and I was too afraid to bump into the conversation. I scurried over, behind a pillar. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop but for some reason, I felt the need to hear it.

“Natsu.” Lisanna said. “Remember the kiss we shared at the forest during the mission?” My chest began to tightened, burning with jealousy. It felt as if my heart was going crazy over a thorn that stabbed it.

Natsu gave a dumb look. “WHAT KISS?” Oh my gosh, Natsu is such a knucklehead! But then the scene where Natsu and Lisanna shared the kiss, within the shadows of the thick trees played inside my head like a movie.

I felt a  lump growing in my throat, my breathing turned into a slower pace, my head began to gain weight on me. Come on, Lucy Heartfilia, keep it in.

“Yo-you really don’t remember?” Lisanna looked so depressed, she faced the floor, clasping her hands together near her chest.

“Li...sanna?” Natsu laid his hand on her shoulder, giving an apologetic look.

Yet again my heart was hurting, how many times must I be hurt, just because of these feelings I have for Natsu? Love really is a pain. I want to tell him how I feel, I want him to know. But I couldn’t….I shouldn’t, it would only hurt Lisanna more. Tears started to flood out of my eyes, how many times must I cry? I couldn’t take it anymore. I have to leave this place, trying not to disturb anyone.

I ran covering my eyes with my right arm, trying not to show my tears to anyone, especially Natsu.

“Ow!” I yelled, falling onto the floor.

“Whoa, Lucy! I’m sorry!!” Gray apologised, lending me his hand.

I held out my hand for his, still covering my arm over my face.

P.O.V Natsu Dragneel

“Ow!” I heard a voice cry out.

“Whoa, Lucy! I’m sorry!!” another voice called out.

It was Gray’s voice. I turned my head around, seeing a scene being played. WHAT DID THAT JACKASS GRAY DO?

I saw Juvia, behind a pillar, her aura was heavy and dark, glowering at Lucy, who stood up from Gray’s support. “Love rival!” Juvia mumbled under her breath.
