The Affection of Natsu and Lucy

Chapter 6: "Home Sweet Home."

"Lisanna?"

As Lisanna removed her lips from Natsu's after a long, enjoying kiss, she gave a faint smile. "Sorry...to do that so suddenly."

Natsu opened his mouth hesitantly, but nothing came out, he was too shocked to speak.

And then something interrupted the bittersweet moment. Dark heavy clouds slithered, looking like dark cushions piling up, covering the sky, the sky cracked open with a fierce flash of lightning that hit the ground and the trees.

I stood away from the tree that I was hiding behind, afraid it might catch on fire if lightning hits it, and walked to Natsu and Lisanna with my hands on my chest.

"Natsu...I have a bad feeling about this storm" I mumbled, hoping that Lisanna and Natsu didn't think I was eavesdropping.

"Yeah, it seems unusual." Natsu looked up, staring at the sky, almost pitch-black. He sniffed the air, his nose wrinkled, telling me the air seemed to smell quite rotten.

"We don't have time to just sit around, let's go check it out." Lisanna put on her concerned face, staring at the vast sky.

Suddenly, a huge glowing light, shaped of a circle, rose above the trees as lightning radiated from it. As we stared at it, we saw three flying figures hovering across the sky.

"Carla, look. I think its them!" A familiar voice spoke called out.

"OI, HAPPY IS THAT YOU?" Natsu yelled out, as the three figures appeared to be Happy, Carla and Lily.

The luminous light grew bigger and bigger, brighter and brighter. Then around it surrounded what looked like shiny golden keys with familiar symbols on it, it hovered around in a circle, as if it was doing a ritual.

"MY GATE KEYS!" I screamed, pointing at the keys. "I got to save them!" I turned to Happy. "Happy! Fly me to them!"

Happy gawked at me. "But you're heavy as!"

"Shush! Don't worry about that right now! Please!" I pleaded, my face overfilled with worry. "I need to save them!"

Happy bit his lip and nodded, he flew to me, wrapped his long blue tail around my waist and we took off. The wind blew severely, like a herd of little monsters flying through.

"Ah, Lucy! I can't-" Happy breathed heavily, as the force of the wind made it hard for him to fly any higher.

"Then I guess I have no choice!" I let Happy, fly back to the ground and I started running, running towards the light, even if my legs start to ache.. I have to save my keys, no matter what.

Natsu ran to me and turned around, looking like he's giving me a piggy back. "Lucy! Hope on my back, I'll take you there!"

I nodded and jumped onto his back and my cheeks flushed a little pink. This is not the time to feel like this. I thought to myself. As Natsu was running towards the light, I whipped my head around, seeing Lisanna's face looking in anger? or disappointment? Her eyes were like glaciers, watching me on Natsu's back.

"Natsu....." Lisanna said under her breath.

"Okay, hold on!" Natsu warned me, he suddenly stopped, and bent his legs. Oh boy, this part.

He pushed the ground with his feet and flew up to the air, I couldn't help but scream, as Natsu jumped into the sky, the light was bright, I sheltered my eyes with my right hand, still trying to hold onto Natsu. We're were close to the light, shining bright as ever, it felt as if we finally met God right in front of our eyes.
