Part twoooo here we go! ^_^*****
Logan had no idea what to think about this project with Virgil. Not only did he not want to read the book they were assigned—Pride and Prejudice—but he also didn't know how on earth he would concentrate when Virgil was just existing in front of him.
The boys had pushed their desks together so they could work better. Logan couldn't help but notice that Virgil was even cuter up close. He had extremely long eyelashes, and his dark brown hair had small hints of purple on the ends that he had not noticed before. When Virgil rolled up his sleeves, Logan saw pale freckles running the length of his forearms. He didn't think this guy could get any more gorgeous if he tried.
"So," Logan started. "Have you read any of this book yet?"
Virgil brushed a lock of hair out of his eyes.
"I have actually," he replied. "This Mr. Darcy guy or whatever seems like a massive douche."
Logan chuckled. "I agree. I can't believe we have to make a poster about this. I'm not exactly the artsy type."
"Me either. My friend Patton offered to lend a hand, if you would like. He's going to art school next fall."
"Yes, that would be very helpful if we don't want Mr. Darcy to be a stick figure."
Virgil giggled at that, and Logan's heart exploded.
"Hey," said Virgil, "would you by chance want to work on this at my house after school sometime this week? I think it'd be easier to brainstorm without a thousand other people talking in the room, y'know?"
"S-sure," Logan agreed nervously. "I'm free tonight...if that's okay with you..."
Virgil giggled again, and Logan could swear that he moved closer to him. Virgil set his folded hands down on the desk a mere centimeter away from Logan's.
"I'm free whenever you want me to be, Lo," he smirked.
Again with this 'Lo' business, thought Logan. Is he flirting with me? No way. He wouldn't...would he? Oh, what do I care? I don't care if he flirts with me or not! But if he is, two can play at that game!
"Loooogan," Virgil sang. "Hello? You in there?"
Logan shook himself from his thoughts and avoided Virgil's beautiful gaze. Even though he wasn't looking, he still knew Virgil had that adorable smirk on his face. He decided to come back with a similar strategy.
"Are you making fun of me, Virge?" he asked in a half-sensual, half-whiny tone. To Logan's satisfaction, Virgil's cheeks turned a light shade of pink.
"Not at all, Lo," Virgil whispered, leaning closer to Logan so their arms brushed. "I'd never do that to you."
Both of their faces were burning red as they locked eyes, sexual tension flying between them. Logan wasn't sure what the feeling was, but he loved it, and he wanted more of it. He had the urge to grab Virgil by his shirt collar and make out with him until the end of time.
The school bell rang, cutting the tension apart. The boys packed up their things and headed for the door, confirming that they would see each other again at Virgil's house that evening. And God was Logan excited.
**
Evening finally rolled around, and Logan anxiously waited outside Virgil's front door. He was greeted by a woman with the same dark brown hair as Virgil and the same beautiful doe eyes. She introduced herself as Virgil's mother and directed him upstairs to her son's bedroom.
Logan nervously knocked on the door. Why was he so anxious about this? It was just a group project. They were just classmates that were partners for a group project. That was all. Nothing weird happened, not a sinful thought to be had. Just. A. Project.
"Why hello there," Virgil said as he answered the door. "Welcome to my humble abode."
Virgil's room was the darkest room Logan had ever seen. Tim Burton posters covered the walls so densely that their color was completely hidden. A purple spider-patterned lamp was one of two light sources, the other being a night light at the foot of his bed. The sun was setting and the golden rays shone through through the spider curtains that matched the lamp. Despite that, Logan found it strangely cozy.
"Logan?"
"Yeah?"
"I have a question."
Logan's heart dropped, and he hoped this was not a bad question.
"Ask away," he replied.
"Do you liiiike me, Lo?" The teasing tone was back.
"What?" Logan asked, confused.
"Do you like me?"
"Well, yes, obviously or I would not have come over. I enjoy your presence."
"No...that's not what I meant."
Virgil flopped down on his bed and motioned for Logan to have a seat. Logan obliged and sat down at the other end of the bed, as far away from Virgil as he could get.
Logan knew exactly what Virgil meant, and it was true. Now that he thought about it clearly, Logan was practically in love with Virgil. If Virgil didn't feel the same, he'd be heartbroken, but there was only one way to find out.
"I..." he stuttered. "Yes. I do like you, Virge. For the longest time I just kept staring at you." There was no going back now. "You're just...you're so cute. Honestly, I couldn't help myself. You make my heart flutter every time I see you. I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way."
Virgil sat in silence, eyes as wide as saucers, completely shocked by what Logan had told him. Once he found his voice, he replied gently:
"I knew you were into me," he said, "but I had no idea you were as into me as I am into you."
"Wait, you mean—"
Logan was interrupted by hands cupping his cheeks and lips colliding with his mouth. Virgil's lips were softer than he could've imagined. His mind went completely blank as Virgil's hands ran from his face down to his hips and slid back up again into his hair. Logan reached around Virgil's body and pulled him closer by the waist until they were flush against each other. Virgil laced his fingers through Logan's hair and tugged on it gently. Logan moaned in response.
"Look at you, smart guy," Virgil teased, yanking Logan's hair harder this time. "Calm, cool, collected Logan falling apart for an emo boy."
Logan caught Virgil's lips once more, this time pinning him down against the mattress.
"Now are you making fun of me, Virge?" Logan growled, his voice filled with love and lust for the other boy. Virgil smirked.
"Maybe," he answered innocently. "Whatcha gonna do about it, nerd?"
Logan leaned down and kissed Virgil with more passion than he even knew he had. He held each of Virgil's hands in a strong but gentle grip, and Virgil let Logan explore his mouth with his tongue.
"I love you," Virgil whispered, eyes still closed from their kiss. Logan pecked his lips again.
"You love me, huh?" he asked with a smirk.
"I do. I couldn't help myself."
"Well, Virge," Logan smiled, "I love you too."
