Part 2 let's go!

"You what?!" Roman's eyes widened to the size of softballs as he clapped a hand over his mouth in shock. Logan hid his head in his arms, defeated.

"I didn't mean to!" Logan groaned.

"Really?" Roman asked, his words laced with a mocking tone. "You just accidentally went up to a really hot guy, smacked your lips against him and ran away?"

Logan glared at Roman. "Well when you put it that way..."

Logan's heart stopped as Virgil entered the classroom wearing nothing but a t-shirt and his black skinny jeans. All of the girls in the class began to ogle at him, commenting on how they had never seen him without his hoodie before and how good he looked. Virgil smiled cutely at them, thanking them for the compliments. Logan felt as though he was on the verge of cardiac arrest.

Virgil glanced over at Logan, subtly observing him out of the corner of his eye.

Shit, he thought. I'm staring. Get ahold of yourself, Sanders.

Virgil felt exposed. Really, really exposed. It made him anxious. He never really loved showing off his body, and he didn't do it often, but now things were different. When he was covered up, as usual, Logan had hardly paid him any mind. His conversations with Logan were always short and awkward, which is typically seen as a universal sign that a person does not wish to talk. However, the moment that Virgil removed his shirt in gym class, he noticed something weird: Logan staring at him. When he had tossed his precious hoodie aside, he caught a glimpse of Logan practically undressing him with his eyes. If it weren't for the impulsive kiss that followed, Virgil would have sworn that his mind was playing tricks on him. But it happened. Logan kissed him. It was all real now, and he had to know why.

Once Logan had fled the locker room the period before, Virgil removed his hoodie once again, pondering to himself whether or not it was worth trying to tempt him. He stared himself down in the mirror and wondered what it was that made Logan so willing to openly stare, mouth agape, cheeks flushed. He recalled the moment of their kiss, zoning out from reality, remembering the electric spark that passed between them, making Virgil's heart race.

It was too good to be true.

He glanced across the room and noticed an unexpected sight: Logan staring...and blushing. His eyes widened at the realization. Logan was never the type of person to wear his thoughts and feelings on his sleeve, but looking at Virgil was making him blush. Virgil laughed nervously. He needed to find out more. But how? How would he ever convince Logan to tell him what he was thinking? Virgil figured that he was in for a long line of discoveries.

After school, Logan's favourite place to be was the café a couple blocks away. It was right next door to the library, which was extremely convenient for him. He could pick up a book and bring it to the café to read while he drank his disgustingly black coffee. He could read in the library, but they were always insanely crowded right after school hours, so the tiny family-owned coffeeshop was more pleasant to him.

The owners knew him, all of the employees knew him, and so did all of the other regular customers, since Logan was one of the only people under the age of sixty who came in. He opened the door and was instantly relaxed by the sweet smell of coffee and pastries. The atmosphere was calm and quaint; it was perfect for allowing him to get a certain someone off his mind.

Logan still could not believe what he had seen. He had always liked Virgil for his cute, quiet, and kind of anxious personality. Quite frankly, it was absolutely adorable to Logan. Usually, he was not the type to ogle over a man's body. He preferred to get to know a person's intelligence before anything else.

Virgil was very intelligent and was very proficient in deep and abstract thinking, which Logan liked very much. However, he had not expected to be so overwhelmed by the sight of his beautifully sculpted body, especially to such a degree that Logan kissed him without his permission. He was still in utter disbelief. His face turned crimson and he covered his face with his hands. Just as he did so, a waitress brought him his coffee.

"Here is your coffee, Logan," she said with a smile.

Logan looked up and gave a polite smile in return.

"Thank you very much," he replied.

"Are you feeling okay?" she asked. "Your face is red. I can get you some tea if you're running a fever."

"That won't be necessary, but thank you. I'm feeling quite alright, actually."

The waitress lowered her eyebrows. "Boy problems again?"

Logan sighed. "Well—"

Logan was suddenly interrupted by the sound of the door opening. He watched in horror as a familiar face smudged in black eyeliner entered the café. At least he was fully clothed, hoodie and all, for the sake of Logan's sanity.

"Him?" the waitress whispered to Logan. Logan nodded.

"Oh! He's really cute though, Logan! Good luck!" The waitress ran back behind the counter to take Virgil's order. Logan rubbed his temples, praying that he wouldn't sit down in front of him.

Virgil thanked the waitress and took a seat in front of Logan, who was screaming internally.

"Hi," said Virgil with a soft smile. Logan's heart fluttered.

"Hello, Virgil," he replied, attempting to keep his voice steady.

Virgil hesitated for a moment before speaking again.

"Can...can we talk about what happened earlier?" he asked so quietly that his voice was almost inaudible. The waitress set a latte and a lemon pastry down in front of Virgil and gave Logan a wink. Logan sighed shakily.

"Yes, let's talk. You first."

"Okay..." Virgil cleared his throat. "I guess I've just...I'm confused."

"Confused?" Logan tilted his head to the side.

"Yes, confused. I'm confused as to why you kissed me. I can't tell if you actually like me or if you just like what's underneath my shirt..." A small blush spread across Virgil's cheeks. "So, which is it? Why did you kiss me?"

Logan was stunned. Virgil honestly thought that Logan only liked him for his body? Logan was quick to reply.

"No, Virgil, it's not like that at all," Logan assured him. "Honestly, I...I don't know what came over me. Truth be told, I have been infatuated with you for an extremely long time. From the first day that I met you, I found you incredibly attractive. Then, once I got to know you, I realized that you have a beautiful mind as well. I am always impressed by your input when we have class discussions. Your intelligence enhances my feelings for you more than anyone's body on Earth could. Yours is...you're just so attractive. In all aspects. Seeing you like that was just one more reason for me to lo—enjoy your presence. I guess I kissed you because I just couldn't help it any longer. I sincerely apologize for any discomfort or confusion that I may have caused."

Virgil was silent for a moment, then burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?"

Virgil locked eyes with him and smiled ear to ear.

"Nothing is, Lo," Virgil answered brightly. "It's just that...I feel the exact same way about you."

Logan's heart soared. He took Virgil's hand in his and kissed his knuckles sweetly.

"Well then," Logan grinned, kissing Virgil's hand again, "how about we do this more often?"

Virgil giggled like a lovesick child.

"I think we should."
