Josh was at his house alone for the weekend. His family was out of town visiting their parents who lived two hours away. He had planned Tyler to come over for the night so they can-- hang out. Nothing else. Well, they planned to do some things but they weren't gonna tell anyone. (a/n dude, this last sentence made it 69 words and may I say wow. I'm proud of myself just for that.)

Josh was getting ready to say the least around 2 PM. His family's left around 9 AM and he didn't wake up until later. On his way to the kitchen, he saw a small ovalish object on the floor. Curiously, he walked forward and inspected it. He didn't have his glasses or contacts on so he didn't know what the thing was. He leaned down close enough to see it; only then did he realized what it was. A cockroach.

Now don't get me wrong, Josh wasn't scared of most things. Except for maybe ghosts, being alone, monsters, bullies, heights, guns, thunder, lightning, needles, death, and bugs. Just to name a few.. But oh how he was scared of bugs, beetles to be exact. It's gotten to the point where he doesn't enjoy ladybugs or rolly pollys.

The normal thing someone might do when they see a cockroach is step on it, clean the dead bug, and move on with their life. But no, not Josh. Josh screamed the highest pitch he's ever made in his life and climbed onto the nearest counter. He scurried backwards until his head hit a cabinet. "Ow-hhh fuck" he groaned and rubbed the back of his head.

He didn't know what to do. He was home alone and Tyler wasn't coming until much later. He pondered of a second before saying "Fuck it" and texted his boyfriend.

Ok so maybe Josh was being a little dramatic in saying he was in danger, but you have to understand this is his literal worst fear. Maybe Tyler would get mad at him, but that wasn't the point. The point was theres a scary bug that's ALIVE in Josh's house. In the mean time, Josh shuffled here and there on the counter to make a bowl of cereal.

He hears the front door slam and a scared yell by his savior say "JOSH I'M HERE! WHERE ARE YOU?" Through a muffled yell, Josh replies "KITCHEN"
Some scurrying and sneakers rubbing against the tiled floor, and out of breath Tyler stumbles into the kitchen. They both make eye contact and hold it there for about 39 seconds. Once Josh gets another spoonful of cereal into his mouth, Tyler says "What the hell is- or was wrong?" Josh just pointed to the floor where the roach was.

When Tyler saw the bug, he shrieked and climbed next to Josh on the counter. "I thought you were supposed to be the tough one in this relationship" Josh muttered before eating another spoonful of cereal. "Don't even start.."

10 minutes later and two dirty bowls in the sink, they decide to call for backup.. Well, text for backup.

15 minutes past and the girls still haven't showed up. The bug moved from the kitchen to the living room (which is pretty close by) and the boyfriends move from the counter to the dinner table. "What are we gonna do? They haven't come yet and I bet one of them is eating the other out.." Tyler huffed out with an annoyed sigh. He placed his head on the table and grumbled a bit before Josh said, "Stop acting so cross. It's not like we can do anything until the get here." Tyler's head came up quickly and an idea in his eyes. "Well, theres a couple of ideas that come to mind that we can do.." a smirk found its way into his lips and scooted closer to his lover. Wet kisses were pressed onto Josh's neck and a small gasp came out of his lips.

No more than two minutes later the door opened to find Jenna and Debby waltzing in. An annoyed groan escaped both of their mouths. "What took y'all so long? We were begining to think you forgot us while eating one of y'all's vagi-" "Shut up you wimp. Where's the bug?" Debby interrupted. Tyler rolled his eyes at how rudely she replied to him. Josh simply just pointed at the roach on the floor that was now no longer on the floor, but slowly climbing onto the walls of the living room.

When the two girls walked into the room, a gasp and a shriek came from the general area and four running feet landed themselves back into the kitchen. "YOU NEVER TOLD US IT WAS A ROACH!" Jenna shouted. Tyler and Josh scoffed and the four of them started arguing with each other at the same time. None of them noticed Brendon walking through the door and to the racket of teens arguing. All heads turn to him though when they hear a certain noise.

Crunch

Brendon looks down at his foot and makes an ugly face. "Ew I just stepped on a roach" The four of them just stare at Brendon for a good while before he speaks "What happended with all of y'all? You look like you'd just seen a ghost" Another moment of silence passed before Tyler said "You saved us bro... You're our hero.."
"Uh ok. I just came over here cus my phone died a long time ago and needed to borrow a charger. I also was wondering if y'all wanted to go eat somewhere?" Still wide eyed, Josh answers for them "Yes. I'll pay for your food because you're a god at the moment"

For the rest of day Brendon got alot of love and attention from his friends. He liked it. Now he knows when theres a bug in the future, he's the person who's going to get called and rewarded.
