Sophie shuffled through the hedges and peered through the leaves. Fitz was standing in front of a small clearing. There were no trees around. Sophie frowned. What could he be guarding? She glanced around, trying to pick up any clues. There was a rock near where Fitz stood. Could that be it?
Suddenly, Sophie heard a rather shrill bird call. She caught Biana's bright teal eyes and Biana gave her the signal. It was go time. Biana scrambled up a tree gracefully and silently like she was a leopard. Sophie couldn't help but gawk for a few seconds. Is she amazing at everything?
Sophie leapt through the hedges when Fitz wasn't looking and touched the rock. Biana reached it at the same time. They exchanged glances and grinned.
"WE WIN!" Biana yelled, startling Fitz.
"W-What? I swear you guys were just there!" Keefe suddenly appeared. Biana flashed a smile.
"We're just good," Biana said, Sophie smiled shyly.
"Well? Are we playing again? Cuz this time, I call Foster!" Keefe yelled.
"Oh! It's getting late. I'm sorry but I've got to get home before my mom kills me," Sophie sighed.
"Alright then, see you tomorrow!" Biana waved goodbye.
"Good-bye Sophie!" Sophie's heart skipped a beat as she waved back at Fitz, who was looking as perfect as ever.
"Bye!"
Sophie disappeared into the hedges, and prayed not to get lost.
