Chapter Eleven

Sophie sighed as she walked through the hallways. She fumbled around with her textbooks and opened up her latest read.

"Hey Sophie!" Sophie's head popped up and glanced to see who was talking.

"How was your weekend?" Fitz asked, smiling as his teal eyes twinkled. She felt her stomach do a flip as she tried to return the smile.

"Great. You?" Sophie said, trying not to break eye contact with the boy.

"It was good. My family-"

"Hi Foster! How was your weekend?" Keefe appeared, wearing the same trademark smirk and tousled hair.

"It was really great. How was your weekend?" Sophie asked.

"Amazing. And my day just got better by talking to the famous Foster," Keefe remarked, winking at Sophie. Sophie felt her cheeks get hot and she looked away. Fitz shot Keefe a glare but he just kept smiling at Sophie.

"I should probably get to class before I'm late," Sophie added, sighing.

"Alright. Well see you around," Fitz grinned. Sophie felt a weird sensation in her stomach and smiled back.

"See ya, Foster!" Keefe yelled.

"See ya!" Sophie yelled back before running to her next class. She glanced at a nearby clock before speeding up.

"Crap," she mumbled, running through the almost empty hallways. She darted through the door to her Science class and sat down beside Biana and Marella.

"Ms Foster! What excuse do you have for being late?" Ms Galvin thundered. Sophie shrunk further into her seat.

"None, Ms Galvin," Sophie mumbled.

"Speak up!" Ms Galvin said. Sophie swore she could see a murderous glint in her eye.

"None, Ms Galvin," Sophie mumbled a little louder.

"I'll be seeing you in detention, young lady," Ms Galvin informed, then grumbled, "I hate my job."

"Anyways! No thanks to Ms Foster being late, but we are starting a new topic today about Space! How terribly exciting," Ms Galvin said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "We'll be starting with our Solar System. I'm sure you all know about this. 8 planets, all that stuff. I have a quiz for you all to take so I know what levels all of you currently are at." The whole class burst into protest and grumbling.

"Silence! Have some respect!" Ms Galvin snapped. "You will be doing a group project on a topic about space and presenting to the class. Before anyone asks, this is due in two weeks." Sophie sighed. Group projects were extra risky, they pretty much only relied on whether you were in a good group or not.  

A student raised their hand.

"Yes?"

"Will we be able to choose who's in our groups?" the student asked. Ms Galvin sighed and placed a hand on her head.

"Fine. You guys can choose groups. Less grumbling for me," Ms Galvin decided. The class erupted in cheers. "I'll be expecting more since I'm letting you pick your groups! And maximum 4 people in one group!" The class erupted into chaos as all the friends grouped together.

"Hey Sophie can I be in your group?" Marella asked. 

"Oh of course," Sophie answered. She blinked, trying to remember if she had been asked to be in the same group as someone else before.

"Oh can I be in your group too?" Biana spoke up. She glanced at Marella a little warily, but it was only for an instant.

"Oh yea," Sophie replied. Marella also gave Biana a glance, but shot her a smile. Biana smiled back.

"So what topic do you guys want to do?" Marella prompted.

"Um what about-"

"Um, sorry but could I join your group?" a small voice asked. Sophie looked to see who it was. It was Linh Song.

"Oh, Linh right?" Sophie questioned. Linh nodded. Sophie didn't remember Linh being in her Science class. Was that what people thought of her?

"Oh yea of course," Biana added, "We were just discussing what topic we were gonna research about."

"Oh we could do it on Jupiter's moons,"  Linh piped up. "I don't think anyone else will have picked it."

"Good idea!" Marella exclaimed. "I don't know much about the topic so it'll be fun to learn something new for once."

"Ok then is everyone okay with this topic?" Biana said, looking at everyone. Everyone nodded in agreement. 

"Alright then. Jupiter's moons it is."

why did it take me so long to finish this chapter. IM SO SORRY!!!!

ill see if i can think of anything for the next chapter, let alone finish this story :///. and theres kinda an issue since i don't rlly ship sophitz anymore.........

well i'll figure it out later.
