Marcus's POV:
"Wait! what the fuck are you talking about" I shout on the phone
"The thing is..." I cut Evan off.
"Oh just fucking say it you lil piece of shit" I shout, restlessly again.
"Okay, listen I was called by some random person to see a patient, when I reached there, I was shocked to see Alice, dude she was in a damn critical condition, she has scars and marks on every visible part of her body, she's kept like a hostage" Evan's words make me cry.
"D- Dude... where was the place" I ask?
"See, they had asked me to come to the east- side mall from there some men picked me and took me to a farm area, in the middle of which, there was a huge bungalow surrounded by almost 15-19 men. I can only describe as I don't know the actual destination" Evan describes.
"Man! I should've guessed it earlier, it's his freaking farmhouse, we used to party there in our high school yrs"
"Hey, bro you there ?" Evan asks.
"Yeah - Yeah! I am, thank you, I know that exact place" I tell him and cut the call and rush to the police station.

According to the plan, I asked the officers to stay back and come back when needed.
I know about a back entrance so I plan to use that.
Thank goodness that there is no guard at that point of the area.
I still can't believe that I was friends with freak but there is a plus point that I know every single secret and hidden door of his places.
Evan told me that Alice is in the uppermost room, which is on the left-hand side.
I know that there is an emergency entrance on the rooftop so I climb on the tallest- tree and land safely on the roof, I find the window and enter the attic.
Once I am in the attic I locate Alice's room but the door to her room is locked.
I look here and there and I find a shovel. I take, the only option left, the shovel and try to break the lock.
I hit once!
Twice!
And bam! it's a break at the third try.
I quickly open the door, look down
to check where Alice is sitting in a corner she looks skinny and weak.
Before wasting any more time I jump in.
Alice is about to shout, before even seeing who I am, but I quickly cover up her mouth.
She looks at me and her face gets filled with a smile.
Alice POV:
As soon as I see Marcus I feel like... I just can't describe my happiness.
I jump and he pulls me into a warm hug.
I needed it the most.
"How did you get-"
"Don't ask! we have very less time, I will answer it later."
"Let's get out from here," he says.
He holds my hand and suddenly pulls his hand away and gives an expression of pain.
"Ah! what's wrong with your hand Alice" he asks.
"Oh ! nothing just a piece of glass got stuck"
"Why didn't you take it out," he asks.
"I didn't even realise it was there, I'm kinda used to it."
He takes it out and is about to cry when he sees that I show no expression of pain.
"You know what I'm gonna kill that bastard," he says.

We silently move out.
We quietly make our way near the door suddenly a voice makes us stop.
"Going somewhere, love and old friend ?"
We turn around and see there's a gun in Roger's hand.
"Run Alice, I will handle him," Marcus says.
"Take one more step sweetheart and I will kill your best friend," Roger says, pointing the gun towards Marcus.
Roger loads the gun and is about to shoot.
"Roger, don't !" I shout.
"Well if you want him safe then come here behind me."
I am left with no other option so I move to his side.
"Alice doesn't listen to him, just run go!" Marcus says.
Roger look dangerously at me and I get scared for Marcus so I go behind Roger and he puts his gun lower.
Quickly, Marcus takes out his pistol from his pocket and shoots Roger but it only hits his arm.
"Shoot! you have made a huge mistake old friend," Roger says holding his injured arm and picks up the gun and points it towards Marcus.
I, in helplessness, take a glass vase and burst it on Roger's head and suddenly I hear a gun' s shot.
