"What is going on?" Caroline asked walking into the living room about five minutes after Klaus knocked on her door letting her know they were having an emergency meeting. So much for her idea of a quiet morning.

Elijah was already sitting down facing Alexandra while Klaus paced the room impatiently.

"Good morning Care." Alexandra politely greeted her blonde vampire guest.

"Did...Did none of you sleep last night?" Caroline wondered out loud seeing how tense the three of them were.

"Nonsense love. I know for a fact that Elijah and I had quite a pleasant night. Alexandra on the other hand..."

"I ran into a little inconvenience this morning." Alex interrupted him.

"You called it a problem. Now it's not the time to minimize it, love." Klaus said making the teenage girl roll her eyes.

"Tomato, tomato. The point is, I have to make some adjustments to my original plan, as of right now I won't get as much time as I would have liked to to spend with you all. We need to start moving, and we need to start moving soon."

"What's changed?" Caroline couldn't help herself but ask.

"They noticed I was gone much faster than I expected." Alex said.

"They?" Elijah asked.

"The new order. They were keeping tabs on me and I thought I could throw them off for a couple of days at least, but they must have caught on."

"Why don't you look as worried as I feel?" Caroline said.

"Because they are looking for me, but they still have no idea where I am, so that does give me a little time to plan my next move." Alex said.

"And what exactly would your next move be?" Elijah asked, making the girl smile.

"Oh, I'm going to a funeral." She said with a little smirk.

New Orleans was usually a busy and bustling city, filled with local music and dancing tourists, something was always going on in every corner, but not that day.

The day when the always feared Mikaelson brothers would be mourned and laid down to rest for the rest of forever. That day the whole city was eerily quiet, it almost seemed abandoned. The oddest thing, was the fact that as every other day, New Orleans was full of people, some exotic, some local, you could say it had even more people than usual.

These people were not celebrating though, they seemed to be extremely on edge, as if expecting the coffins where the two brothers were being carried away in a gloomy parade towards the cemetery to open, and for the legendary Mikaelsons to jump out and kill every single creature that dared mock the idea of their demise.

This wild occurrence, however, never happened.

The Mikaelson sisters walked one on each side of their now orphaned niece, and Kol walked next to Davina right behind them, throwing menacing glares to everyone who dared to express something other than the utmost respect.

The onlookers were in awe, thinking right away when they heard the news that the youngest Mikaelson siblings would be the first to celebrate the end of their brothers' tyranny. Many of them, however, guessing that the teenage girl they were surrounding from all sides was the main reason why they were paying their respects to the fallen.

Hope kept looking ahead, her head held high while every once in a while a tear or two escaped her eyes. She was trying to focus her attention on ignoring the hundreds of people that were making her feel like a caged animal in a zoo. It angered her that they had come all the way to her home town to confirm her father was dead. Her tears fell upon remembering her mother's funeral not too long ago.
