"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl" Benjamin smirked, and Alex couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"Please don't tell me that line actually works with girls." She retorted.

"Girls, boys, vampires, humans and witches alike. It works with pretty much everyone, dearest." He said with what Alex classified as a stupid smile still lingering on his face.

"Well don't I feel special." Alexandra said sarcastically as she looked away from him and then cleared her throat. "Alright. Moving on..." She started to say when he interrupted.

"After meeting you? I could never." He said, changing his tone to one of pure seriousness, making the brunette look straight back at his green eyes and put on a fake smile. He really was trying to put his flirtatiousness on full display.

"Smooth." She said, forcing herself to not laugh at his silly attempt. He could be so cheesy sometimes.

"So I've heard." He said and the cocky smile was back in its place. "Listen, why don't we get out of here? It looks like the show is pretty much over anyway." He suggested as he looked around the other supernatural creatures who were retreating all around them.

"As long as that means that we are actually going to talk about important things and not that you'll keep trying to flirt with me." Alex said and surprisingly, he laughed.

"I make no promises, dearest. But we do need to talk." He said and before she could protest that he kept using that term of endearment, he took her hand in his and he vamp speed them away.

"Ugh, I hate that feeling." She complained.

"Oh darling, don't tell me an ex-vampire boyfriend spun you around one too many times?" He asked in a mocking way, but she knew better. She knew he was dying to find out if there was any competition he should be worried about.

"None of your business." She said pretending to be embarrassed and finally took the time to look at her surroundings. They seemed to be inside of an old mansion, it looked like it could do with some maintenance, but it was clear that someone had been living in it for a while now.

"No need to be harsh, dear. We'll be partners after all." He smiled at her.

"Whoa whoa whoa, that will depend on what comes out of your mouth in the next 10 minutes." She clarified.

"10 minutes is all I get?" He asked. "I have to admit, I'm kind of wounded." He said dramatically placing a hand over his heart.

"And I'm kind of bored. But most importantly, your time is ticking." She said as she crossed her arms and leaned her weight on one of her legs. She was all business now.

"Alright then. I better get started." He smirked at her and moved over to the small bar area, pouring himself a drink and offering her one. She politely declined, still waiting.

"What is your deal with the Mikaelsons?" He asked and then took a sip of his drink. Alexandra laughed incredulously at such a straight-forward question.

"As if I would just put my private business out there for anybody."

"But I'm not just anybody, am I?" He smirked raising his eyebrows and waited patiently for her to say something.

"They wronged me, I just want to repay the favor." She finally caved without revealing too many details. She needed him to feel like he was in control of the situation, but not that she fully trusted him just yet.

"A little vague, but I can work with that, I suppose." He said setting his glass down.

The next thing Alex knew is that he was running towards her in an attack position. As an automatic reflex she raised her hand and he was pushed back. He was quick to get on his feet and then was trying to hurt her once more. And once again, she threw him across the room with a flick of her hand.

"What the hell are you doing?" She asked frowning.

"I see that I have underestimated you, dearest. You have more power than I thought." He said smiling as he got up from the floor.

"What is that supposed to mean? Are you testing me?" She said sassily, it was insulting that he had dared to question her power. She was mad for a whole second, and then remembered that he didn't know her yet.

"Nothing personal sweetness, I just want to know what I'm working with." He said and that made her see red. Her frown became deeper as she tilted her head, and suddenly he was on his knees, clutching his head.

It wasn't for long though, because as soon after he started making noises to express his pain, she was being tackled to the ground by another person.

"Of course golden boy didn't come alone." Alex thought as Ben stopped screaming, her concentration broken by the person holding her down.

"Riley, get off of her." Benjamin demanded in a serious voice and the blonde vampire finally let go of the brunette witch.

"First you attack me, and then you have your little bodyguard pin me down, you really have no clue of how to woo a girl, do you? " Alex said sarcastically as she stood up, never taking her eyes off the other vampire in the room.

Ben laughed. He was liking this girl more and more by the second. The girl pinning Alex down moved back, but she sure as hell did not offer Alex a hand to get back up.

The brunette witch stood and dusted herself off, making sure of looking down at her watch and stating "You have about 5 minutes left" as if the last five minutes hadn't happened. Her hair could have been messy, her clothes wrinkled, but she was unbothered, and of course Ben noticed.

"Ah yes, I don't suppose I could get an extension on that time, could I? There are still many things left unsaid." He said charmingly.

"How about we start with introductions." Alex said looking around him towards the blonde vampire standing behind him, even though she also knew her quite well.

"You mean Riley? Oh, she's just a good friend and an important part of the cause." Ben explained briefly.

"And what is the cause again?" Alex asked.

"It's complicated to explain in so little time, and we don't just discuss our private business with everyone we meet." Riley said glaring Alex down.

"But I'm not just anybody, am I?" Alexandra threw Benjamin's words back to him.

"No Alexandra Morgan, you sure are not." Ben said smiling, and just then, Alex knew his mind was made, and no matter how much Riley complained, he was going to let her in on their little secret.
