Wrong Number

Chapter 15

~Spencer~

My flight arrived in Connecticut around 2:30 am. I decided to rent a car for the weekend and drive over to the hotel.

I was so happy to see Mia again in the morning. It's only been two weeks but it feels longer than that. I just want to be able to talk to her. Actually talk to her.

I also need to figure out how I really feel about her. I'm hoping to figure that out this weekend. I know there's definitely feelings there but I don't know for sure because I've never felt this way before over a girl.

I need to be sure how I feel before I take things any further and I don't want to hurt her either. I just want to have a good time with her this weekend.

I woke up at 7:00 am. I had only gotten about four hours of sleep but I didn't care. I was happy to get at least that much.

I took a shower and got ready then texted Mia at 8:00 to see if she was awake yet.

Spencer: hey Mia. Are you awake yet?

She didn't answer until 8:16.

Mia: I am now. How was your flight?

Spencer: it was pretty good. I got in around 2:30

Mia: aren't you tired?

Spencer: not really. I'm used to not getting much sleep

Mia: that's probably becuase of all the coffee you drink

I laughed.

Spencer: probably

Spencer: I was wondering if I could pick you up around 9:00?

Mia: yeah that's fine. I just need to get dressed and then I'll be ready

Spencer: ok well then I'll see you soon

Mia: yep

Mia texted me at 8:48 to tell me that she was ready. As soon as she texted I was out the door and heading over to her house.

I'm a nervous wreck right now but I'm also really excited to see her. There's just too many feelings going on right now and I just wanted to get to her house.

When I finally got to her house I took a deep breath and got out of the car. I walked up to the door and knocked. My stomach was going to burst.

The door opened a few seconds later and there was Mia standing in the doorway, smiling at me.

"Hi, Spencer." Mia said.

I smiled back at her. She was so beautiful.

I felt frozen. I didn't know what to say. I just stood there awkwardly and smiled at her.

Mia laughed, "are you ready to go?" She asked.

"Um, yeah." I moved aside and let her walk past me over to the car. I opened the passenger door for her then walked around the car and got into the driver's seat.

"I'm so happy you were able to fly up here and we get to spend some time together." Mia said.

"Me too. I really wanted to see you. You look really beautiful, by the way." My heart skipped when I said that. I hope that wasn't too much.

Mia smiled, "thank you, Spencer."

I started to relax after I saw her smile.

"So where are we going?" Mia asked.
