When was the last time you ever hung out with your best friend?
Yesterday?
A couple days ago?
Weeks ago?
Months ago?
Maybe even years ago??
Sup, the name's Amy Rose. I'm 16 yrs old and I live in Mobius, Central City. I've been here for as long as I can remember, and the city I lived in hasn't changed as much at all.
I mean, the city life is great! I love how diverse it is and I love all the holidays and the festivals we have here. The food is great, shops are always keeping up with the trends, and people are friendly! Well... almost. If maybe graduating middle school isn't so hard.
Well.. duh. It isn't that hard, I'm not the quiet type. I make friends easily and I am the school's yearbook head, so it isn't that bad. Until high school starts.

[ Graduation Day In Viliums Elementary School ]
"Hey Ames, get ready now or you'll never graduate today!"
"Im coming! Wait a minute!" I said. "Just a couple of brushes so my hair isn't gonna frizz too much under the heat of the sun later." I brushed my hair a couple of times before grabbing my school's medallion and pinned it to the right of my uniform.
Today, I'm finally graduating from middle school. After all of that drama and projects, I will finally get to spend my 4 week vacation without anything to do but just dance to music everyday and hang out with my friends at the capital.
Running down the stairs of my house, I grab the railings of it and sat on it, sliding down with a great big smile. "Careful! We don't want you to break your leg before the day ends!" My father said, reading the newspaper on the table. "Pancakes. Just how you like it." My mother said, looking at me with a smile.
"We're just graduating, what's the big deal? It's not like we're gonna move out yet." My brother chuckled, before gobbling up the pancakes on his plate. "Son, we're just excited because it's your first graduation! Your next one would be after high school, but it's still sooo important for me and your mother." Dad said.
While they were talking, I quickly sat down and ate my breakfast quickly. "So how's Cream? Don't forget to take a picture with every single one of your friends! Let it be part of the yearbook too!" My mom said, as she sat down beside dad.
"Of course! Why wouldn't I?" I said.

[ After graduation ]
"Goodluck to all you students and may your High school life be full of memories and happiness! Have a great day to you and your family."
After the principal ended the event, students quickly gathered and took pictures with one another. I on the other hand, can't seem to find him in the crowded auditorium. Scurrying through the crowds while holding my camera, without realizing it, I was pushed and my back hit another one of the students.
"Oh--I'm sorry! I'm really sorry! I didn't see you--" I was then cut off and was greeted by a big bright smile.
"Oh hey Ames! Wanna take a picture together?" He said, his smile made the auditorium light up. "Oh hey josh! Sorry, I was really clumsy. And yeah of course!"
Josh. My crush. Of all the people, why him?!
My heart was beating so fast that maybe I could now win the marathon. Josh asked another student to take a photo of us, while I was blushing crazy. We then readied our positions, his hand reached out for my shoulder, the student then took the photo.
"Thanks Ames! See you after the long weekend!" Josh said, waving me 'goodbye' before he joined his soccer team for the photo. I waved back with a smile, and quickly viewed the photo.
"Oh my God! Today is really my lucky day! I knew it even before we left the house when I successfully got the bathroom all for myself." I thought to myself, while smiling so cheesily at the picture of me and Josh. "Hey, I see you got a picture too from your crush?" A familiar voice behind me said.
"Sonic! Gee! You scared me!" I yelped in surprise, almost dropping my camera. "Woah, gee Ames! Chill out! Josh's cool is taking an effect on you!" Sonic joked, making me more red. "Ugh, same for you. Didn't you and Via talked before the event started?" I said, smirking at him.
He look at me in surprise and flashed me a cheesy and nervous smile, scratching the back of his head. "Hehehe.. fine." He sighed in defeat. "Ames! Sonic! There you are!" Mom said, waving at us.
I waved back and brought Sonic to them. "Gee, how many years has already passed? I could still remember you and Sonic running around the apple tree at our backyard." Dad chuckled, as he patted Sonic's back with a friendly smile. "12 years? We met when I was still around 5 yrs old, the time when Sonic is such a nerd." I giggled, looking at him. "Hey! It's doesn't mean that I'm a nerd, I just like books." Sonic said, sticking his tongue out.
"Back then you're a nerd, up until today, you are still a big nerd." Sonic said, smirking at me. "Whatever." I sighed. "What's wrong? Perhaps, I ruffled your feathers too much?" Sonic said, jokingly comforting me as he pat my head gently. I slapped his hand, "I'm not a chicken!" Him and my brother chuckled together.
"Okay okay, c'mon. We'll still go somewhere after this." Dad said, as he clapped his hands. I then gave the camera to my dad, and he took photos of me and Sonic. Basically, not those great graduation pictures. Both of us were sticking out our tongues at each other and recreated other goofish moments.
After that, me and Sonic happily laughed at our pictures. "Sonic! Let's go!" His sister said, waving at us with a smile. "See ya during the long weekend Ames." Sonic said, before he gave me a big warm hug. "See ya too, hedgehog." I said, returning the hug. We then parted ways and proceeded to enjoy our day.
