Chapter 4 • The Weekend Starts! [ 3 ]

For the 2nd time! I was always stuck in the friendzone. There's nothing wrong with respecting the person's decisions. But it always broke me. Why can't it be me?

I finally got outside from that mall . Still, I was running. I can't stop. Tears began falling on my cheeks. I don't have the reason to cry, but it hurts so bad.

( NOTE: The Mall has an outdoor mall inside the Mall. So it's a pretty big place. That's why she's running to the exit. )

"Stop!"

I turned around to see Sonic, running up to me. Each step he took, I cried more. It's always been my weakness to be comforted by someone when I wanted to cry so bad. And to be comforted by my best friend is making me want to cry more. I knelt my head down, tears dropping on the grey pavement I stood on.

It starts to get cold. I guess december's getting pretty close. I can't stand it. The cold. It's bothering me so much.

Just as I was about to faint, I felt a warm embrace. Familiar arms hugged me, making me cry more. "There, there. What are you doing out here? Can't you tell it's already winter, it's freezing!" He scolded.

"Why.. does it hurt so much then?" I muttered.

He went quiet for a moment, before he sighed and hugged me tightly. "It's because you're in love, that's why. But it's not true love if what you only get is pain and sadness." Sonic consoled. I cried more and hugged him back as tightly as I could. "I'm such a baby, Sonic. I can't stand Josh dating other people. I'm not even in a relationship with him." I cried.

He sighed and patted my back gently. "Oh Ames.. stop crying. It's not worth to cry over a boy like Josh." Sonic said.

"I swear. Someone's gonna love you the way you want that person to love you back. I promise. Now dry your tears and let's get back inside." He said, placing his jacket on my shoulders.

"What about you? Aren't you freezing?" I asked. Worried about his health. "Nah. I'm wearing a sweater." He said with a warm smile. I smiled and looked down on the ground, "Thanks."

[ Rose House - 12:01 pm ]

*Ding* *Ding*

I saw you run away from the bathroom earlier, are you okay?

Josh texted me. Ugh. It'll be so obvious if I don't respond, considering that I already viewed it. Way too go Amy.

Heh. Yeah I'm okay. I just saw Sonic and ran up to him. :)

Another lie. Ugh. Do I have to keep using Sonic as my scapegoat?

Oh, okay. Me and Pete were worried, we wanted to find you. But Angelica insisted that the food's getting cold. :/

As a friend only though. Even though we've been friends for a really long time now.

Oh it's fine. I'm with Sonic, so I was okay. ^^

Okay then. See you at the first day of school. :)

Omygosh. Did he just send me a smile??!!

Before I knew it, I was fangirling like crazy inside my room. What a day! First I cried over him with no reason! Then he sent me a smiley face! Omg. What. A. Day. It. Is. Today.

"Hey Ames, I can hear you from outside ya' know." Pete said from outside my room. "Sorry!" I giggled.

I mean he's nothing more but my crush. I guess I was just overreacting earlier. Nevertheless, I won't let my feelings for him ruin my weekend.

Baby.

Oh. I almost mistaken it for something.

Sheesh. Blue boy. Maybe I should call him more that.

Oh no he didn't.

What the f. That's not my face at all. Have you looked yours at the mirror?

I did. And all I saw was a handsome guy staring at himself. :p

Ha. Sonic's so goofy. I still remember me and him playing war at the backyard. I would be team blue and he will be red, of course he always won. But when it was time for puzzle piecing, I would always win. Good times though.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Hey Ames?" Pete said.

"Yeah, what is it?"

"Can I come in?"

"Of course."

The door creaked slowly and there was my brother, carrying a whole chocolate cake and two bowls of Ice cream. My eyes lit up, "Is that for me??" I asked, pointing at the cake and the Ice cream. "Sonic told me to buy you some earlier, and told me what happened." Pete said, sitting beside me.

"Oh wow! Bless you Sonic!" I said, slicing the cake with a fork. "Why did you cried earlier? You know that him and Angelica aren't even official?" My brother asked me bluntly. "Before you assume that I'm jealous, I have my period. So that's why I became so emotional." I said, chomping on the slice of cake.

"Hah. I suspected it. All you ever did was eat chocolates and sweets ever since we got in the mall." Pete chuckled. "And once again, Amy Rose has embarassed herself in front of Josh once again!" I said with a straight face.

"Oh come on. There's plenty of fish in the sea." Pete said, eating the cake also. "Well, that's true. But if there's plenty of fish in the sea, then why do we only chose one to show our feelings?" I asked him with a smile.

"Umm.. because the feelings you have toward that person is special?" Biting his cake. "Correct! You feel special for that person so much, that you refused to move on from that person!" I said, crossing my arms together wih a proud smirk.

"Why am I getting love facts from a person that doesn't even have a single boyfriend yet?" Pete asked, raising his brow. "Coaches don't play, Pete." I winked. "Oh wow. Such intilegent words from Miss Rose." He joked.

"Oh come on! Can't you take me seriously for even just a moment?" I glared at Pete, pointing my fork at him.

"Ha. Come on I find you so funny to tease." He laughed.
