So, firstly, I must apologize for the lack of updates for this book. I have no excuse. I hope you can forgive me. I don't know what to say.

Please let me know what you think of this chapter. I'm not entirely sure of it...I think it needs a lot of work still. If you do enjoy this chapter, please vote.

My next update will hopefully be soon. If you are desperate to read ahead, go over to my Inkitt account and read up to chapter 6 now!

The song above is Knowing Me, Knowing You by ABBA (a great song).

Harper's POV

The very next day, the same maid as yesterday stumbled into my room. Her brown hair is pinned to her head neatly and her dark brown eyes show kindness. She greets me formally, with a polite smile. There is no sign of hostility after yesterday which means she understands where I'm coming from. I'm glad she doesn't hold a grudge against me.

"What would you like for breakfast today?" She asks me, peeking at me from her long lashes. It's only now I notice how beautiful she is. Even the plain and boring uniform doesn't hide her beauty.

I press my lips together, mentally deciding whether I should be obedient today or defiant.

I choose the former.

She hands me a full English breakfast, a cup of tea and a croissant. My stomach rumbles at the mouth-watering sight. Since I didn't eat anything last night, I'm famished.

"What's your name?" I ask her after she's put everything down on the table in front of me. She looks up at me with wide eyes, surprised I'm asking her. It makes me wonder if the royal family get to know their staff.

"Rosie, Miss," She answers, shyly. She looks like a Rosie—sweet and innocent. Guilt flows through my veins at the thought of using her. "I'm your personal maid."

My eyebrows shoot up at that. I should have assumed she was something like that. I bet Leon assigned her as my personal maid because of her personality. He probably knew I wouldn't want to use or hurt Rosie.

That thought causes anger to course through me. I clench my fists together but keep the smile on my face. She doesn't suspect a thing.

"What— "I clear my throat and repeat myself in a firmer tone. "What does that entail?"

She mashes her lips together nervously. "Uh, it means I help you get changed and things. I do whatever you want me to do."

I nod my head although not entirely happy about it. I can take care of myself; I have always been doing it.

"Anyway, I must get you ready for King Leon. He wants to see you this evening," She announces, to my dismay. I let out a long breath, feeling extreme levels of anger towards Leon. "So, let's get the bath running and get you into some new clothes."

She escorts me to the en-suite and starts running the bath. I sit on the sidelines, watching her do her work whilst I remain in my thoughts. Two days ago, I was living my life, worrying about Drake and his 'love' for me. But now, I'm stuck in this horrible situation that I need to get out of.

It's a nightmare.

Once the bath is full, Rosie leaves me alone. Stripping off my clothes, I sink into the warm bathtub. My tensed muscles relax as I lie back in the tub. Just for a few minutes, I'm going to let all my problems disappear. I just want a few minutes to breathe.

Of course, my peace and quiet are short-lived. Rosie soon knocks on the door, informing me I need to get ready soon.

With a heavy sigh, I quickly do my business and jump out of the bathtub. Wrapping a towel around my wet body, I step out of the hot bathroom.
