That very evening, Leon forces me to eat tea on the same table as him. He pushes me into the chair to his left whilst he sits at the head of the table.

Pack members openly stare at us. You'd think they'd get over it by now. Apparently not though.

Alpha Kaiden sits opposite me, to Leon's right. Aidan is sat next to Kaiden. Quinn is next to me.

I keep my eyes focused on my plate in front of me. Around me, everyone talks amongst themselves about normal things. Aidan and Quinn talk about the meal—claiming it tastes amazing. Kaiden's eyes drift back to Quinn every once in a while. I've noticed him doing that a lot. He can't believe she's real and here.

"Harper, what do you say about going for a run tomorrow?" Aidan's voice knocks me back into reality. I whip my head in his direction, ignoring the feeling of his eyes burning into my face.

Ignore him, Harper. Just ignore him.

"Sure," I say. I think it will be a good idea—I need to let loose. My wolf is starting to feel trapped in my human body.

Beside me, Leon perks up. He is seeing this an opportunity for us to spend time together and for our wolves to connect. I know my wolf would love to spend time with his wolf. They want to love and cherish each other.

"Do you mind if I join you?" Leon asks, directing his question to Aidan whilst keeping his eyes on me.

Adrian isn't going to say no to Leon. He can't. It would be seen as an insult. I don't want to see Adrian get punished for something so petty and silly. I'll just have to avoid Leon.

"Of course, you can, your majesty," Adrian replies, baring his neck slightly. He catches my eye and sends me an apologetic look.

An awkward silence surrounds us. Nobody knows what to say in front of the King. They don't want to say something that could be offensive. We are all trying to think of something to say.
