Chapter 6: Wake Up, Prince
That was you, right?
My skin crawled when I remembered that incident earlier. I kept myself busy by reading journals and doing my homework while I was staying at the library so that I wouldn't think of that but it was hard to dismiss.
I really met one of my co-administrators. I met King.
Even though the five of us seem close when talking to each other in the group chat, I don't think we can act like that in real life. Besides, we already agreed not to delve into our personal lives. But now, those two worlds have collided.
I couldn't reply to him because I was embarrassed and scared.
Come to think of it, he seemed familiar but I wasn't able to look at him clearly because I was rattled when I saw his phone.
"It's okay," I mumbled, trying to calm myself. "It'll be Christmas break after this week."
Maybe I wouldn't see him around. I'd reply to him later and just be casual. That would be the right thing to do.
"Oh. You're here."
My eyes drifted to the guy who sat beside me and I almost yelped when Gisel's face came into view. He smiled as he placed a bunch of books on the table and I had to flip my phone because there were notifications from the portal that were displayed.
He's also one of the people I'm trying to avoid yet here he is, right in front of me.
When I saw the references he just brought with him, I realized it must have been for the qualifying exam tomorrow. Steff and Jess were busy reading and reviewing these past few days because of it.
"Q-qualifying exam?" I asked, trying to distract myself from what happened earlier.
"Yup," he sighed. "Such a bothersome requirement."
I scanned the area and thank god we were the only ones here. Getting close with a Campus Prince or Princess these days would surely get you into the portal's front page so everyone's careful of their actions.
While he was busy skimming through the pages of the book, I peeked at my phone and opened our group chat.

Seeing his username made me remember our collision earlier. I opened his message a while ago and contemplated what I should reply.
kingtrex: that was you, right?
yeoshin: yeah but please don't tell anyone
After a few seconds, his name popped up and I opened it immediately.
kingtrex: alright
kingtrex: besides, those three will not shut up if they learned about it
