13. I Wont Give Up

Zero's PoV

I stand by the tree as I watch Samantha's window. I see her open it slowly and climb to the ground. I watch in silence as she walks across the school courtyard in the direction of the moon dorm.

I wanted to stop her...but I know it is pointless. She wishes to know the truth about what I am becoming. I don't have the heart to tell her. I glance down at my hands and they are shaking. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I can smell her scent and it calms my body down.

"Samantha....please forgive me...." I whisper as I turn and walk towards the Headmaster House. Climbing up the stairs I am stopped by Yuki.

"Zero There you are! You are supposed to help me patrol..."

I clench my hands into fists. "I know...." I speak through gritted teeth. I push past her. "I am not feeling well, just leave me alone...." I ignore her stare as I make my way to my room and slam the door shut.

I lean my back against the door and sink to the floor. I close my eyes and the memory of sinking my fangs into Samantha's soft porcelain skin makes my body shake.

"I can't believe she let me...." My hands fly to my head as I grip my silver hair. "Does she not realize how close I came to killing her.....How when I taste her I want every last drop of her delicious blood...FUCK!" My hands turn into fists and I slam them onto the floor. "How can I enjoy what I did..."

My body trembles again realizing I am slowly starting to lose myself. "Samantha..." I whisper her name. I see her face before me. Her sad pink eyes that show her fear and pain. The way her luscious pink hair falls gracefully down her back. Those plump pink lips of hers....I would do anything to feel them pressed against mine.

I sigh as I stare off into space. "I am not just attracted to your blood....." Everything about her riles me up and drives me crazy. Holding her the other night I never wanted to let her go....

Knowing I have these feelings for her, only makes this so much harder.

If I don't do something to stop myself...I will end up killing the girl who I love.

My eyes fall on my bed. I see the glint of silver laying there. "There is only one choice for me..." I stand up and make my way towards my bed. Sitting down I pick up the gun and stare at it in silence. "If I don't stop myself....I know what I will become. There is no stopping what is happening to me." I whisper the painful truth out loud.

"I have killed so many vampires with this..." I stare at the Bloody Rose. Never once did I think I would see the day I would be using it on myself.

With steady hands I turn the gun to face me. "This is for the best....." I whisper as I raise it up and aim it at me.

I close my eyes as my finger rests gently on the trigger.

"Samantha.....forgive me..." I whisper to myself as I go to end my suffering.

"ZERO!" My body tenses as my door flies opened. "ZERO NO!!" I sit in shocked silence as I get tackled onto my bed. Now laying on my back, I feel my gun get pulled from my hands. Slowly opening my eyes I see pink hair softly swaying above me. "Zero......" I finally meet her gaze and I see the tears falling from her eyes. "Zero you can't!"

"Samantha?" I gaze up at her from my back.

"I won't let you give up on yourself!" Her legs straddle my waist and she brings her fists down and hit my chest. I watch her lost in my thoughts. Her pink hair falls gracefully down her small delicate slim body. Feeling her on my body like she is makes my heart race quicken.

"Samantha..."

"No Zero!" She slams her fist against my chest again. "I refuse to let you go that easily!"

"Samantha I...."

"Don't you dare say it!" She cries out. "I don't care if you given up in life....I will not give up on you!"

"Samant....."

She cuts me off yet again. "I lost my family to a Level E....I know what you are afraid will happen....But you have to stay here with me Zero....." I gaze at her in silence. "Zero....please....I...."

"You what?" I finally manage to say.

"I don't want to lose you...No....I can't lose you....." Her anger she had moments ago seems to have faded as she gazes at me shyly.

"I am a monster...."

"I don't believe that...."

"I almost killed you......"

"But you didn't..."

"I want to kill you...." I whisper the sad truth.

"But you won't, I trust you..."

"Nothing can stop me from becoming a Level E..."

"Yes there is....." I stop her from speaking.

"No one has seen or heard anything from the PureBlood who bit me for the past 4 years....There is no stopping my destiny of turning in a monster. A monster who wants nothing more then to feed off humans and kill them.

"Zero...."

"Why would you want a monster like me to stay alive? Your own family was murdered by a Level E...I wont be any different then him!"

"Zero...." She gazes at me. "Yes I lost my parents...My little sister Anne. I miss them more then life it self...I can't get the image of him attacking me with their blood dripping from his mouth." Her body starts to shake. She goes to crawl off of me but I grab her hips holding her in her spot.

"Then you know I should be stopped now before that happens."

I watch her shake her head. Her pink hair flies around. Tears start to fall from her eyes. I am entranced by her beauty as she straddles me.

"I refuse to give up on you....Together we will find a way...." I grip her hips tighter with my hands.

"Why?" I look at her stunned.

"Because..." Her voice falls silent as her cheeks flush pink. "Zero promise me you will never do this again...."

"But I may hurt you...or worse, kill you...." My heart starts to pound as I grip onto her tighter. Gazing up at her I realize just how much I am in love with her. "Tell me the truth why you wish me to stay alive..." Her cheeks blush a red now as I quickly turn us over so I am straddling her now.

"Zero....I.."

"Say it....." my heart races faster as I gaze down at her below me. Her pink hair flows across my pillow.

"I......"

"Samantha...." I lean down towards her. "I need to hear you say it...please tell me I am not the only one with these feelings...."

She falls silent as she gazes at me. I push myself up and I am about to crawl off of her when she quietly whispers out.

"You're not...."
