2 (George's Point of View)

I sighed, seeing Audrey and Michael walking past us, hand in hand.

"'Ello, George," she smiled before Michael pulled her into their second class, everyone else in our group stopped in the hallway to talk during our free time.

"'Ello, George,'" Paul said in a mocking tone, laughing.

"Hey!" Kaityln said, gently pushing Paul.

I glanced at Audrey's class, knowing she was kissing Michael at the moment.

The only thing stopping me from making a move was that we've been such good friends since we were little. Kaitlyn has always been close to John, Paul and me, and it took a long time for her to trust us enough to meet Audrey. I was six and she was the most beautiful and stunning girl I had seen. Kaitlyn and Audrey are very popular, Audrey almost always had a boyfriend. When I finally got my chance to make a move, she already had another boyfriend.

Meeting Kaityln was one of the best moments in my life. I was at the park with Paul, when she threw her ball and accidentally hit Paul in the head. He fell, and John rushed over to help him. Once Paul woke up, Kaityln vowed to be our friend until Paul forgot about the incident. We became close friends, and she desperately wanted us to meet her best friend, Audrey, but didn't want anyone to take Audrey away from her. But from the moment I met Audrey, ten years ago, I had fallen in love. Her blonde hair and blue eyes automatically caught my attention, and her kindness made me fall for her.

Kaityln, my best friend except for Paul, knows my love for Audrey and tries to tell me everything about her. I've been taking lessons from Paul and John on how to pick up girls, hoping I could make Audrey want me like I want her.

"Is that the second girl this week?" Kaityln whispered, shaking me out of my day dream, to me as she watched John kiss a girl.

I nodded. "They met this morning."

She looked at me and scoffed. "Never be like that, George."

"He doesn't know you love him," I tried to make her feel better.

She shook her head. "I can't watch this."

"Get off," Paul said. "You know it's just another girl who doesn't even know him. One day he'll realize that a beautiful, smart and funny girl is waiting to be with him."

Maybe if I got a girlfriend, I could make Audrey jealous, I thought to myself.

"Don't even think it, George!" Kaityln snapped at me.

"Wh- but I didn't-!"

Kaitlyn rolled her eyes. "I knew what you were thinking. You should get to class!" She warned, leaving Paul and me to get a head start.

Paul and I started walking to class. I pulled John off of his girlfriend. "Get to class, mate!" I mimicked the sound of a ruler hitting someone.

John nodded and pushed the girl to the side, not even saying goodbye.

I looked to see if Kaitlyn saw him push the girl. Across the hallway she was smiling and giving me a thumbs up. It's moments like these where I loved having a girl best friend.

"Run along, 'Georgie,'" Michael called from his seat as we passed the class room.He gave me a dirty look as a couple of his friends laughed. I'm pretty sure he knows about my feelings for Audrey.

Audrey hit him, "Shut up, Michael!" She smiled at me.

"She likes you," Paul told me as we rushed to our class, John leaving us to walk into his own classroom.

The bell rang, meaning Paul and I were late- and even worse, we were in trouble.

We looked at each other, fear in our eyes.

"Mr. McCartney, Mr. Harrison. Why aren't you in class?" The principal approached us, the only students not in our classes. "Come with me." She started walking her way to her office, her heals tapping with each step.

I sighed. "This isn't going to make Audrey happy."

Paul scoffed. "Stop thinking about Audrey. We're about to be in so much pain."
