15 (Audrey's Point of View)

George helped me out of mum's car and lead me inside his house, stepping quietly.

"You saw Paul outside of Kaitlyn's house too, yes?"

He sighed. "Yes." His body language showed he wasn't sure what to do. I had been in his house many times before, but not since I've become his girlfriend. He seemed unsure of where to go, the living room or his bedroom.

"We should do something about it."

George nodded. "Like what?"

"Call? Pick him up?"

"I think it'll be okay, though. I mean, he's just worried." George told me as he sat the keys down and sat on his couch.

I stayed standing. "He's obviously gone mad over Kaitlyn! We need to talk some sense into him!" I started getting a little loud. My concern for Paul was very deep.

George took my hand and gently pulled me to sit down with him. "Shh, darling. My family is asleep."

I nodded. "I'm sorry. But we need to check on Paul!" I whispered.

George sighed. "But Audrey, it's late, we just got home and-" George was cut off by the sound of their house phone ringing. He jumped up, startled from the loud noise. He ran to answer it, leaving me alone on the couch.

When he came back, he had a worried look on his face. He picked up the car keys, "we have to go."

"Why?" I stood up and yawned.

"It's Paul."

"What is it?" We began walking to the car.

George shook his head, not speaking. The whole car ride I could see George was thinking.

"A-are you okay?" I asked quietly as we were almost there.

He nodded and faked a smile. "Just fine, babe." He pulled into Kaitlyn's driveway, Paul no longer in his car.

"Where are we-"

George nodded towards the house and began walking towards it.

I yawned and followed him, intertwining my fingers with his.

He opened the door and we walked in. All the lights were on. Kaitlyn, John, Paul and grandma were all sitting in the living room. Paul seemed drunk, possibly stoned. Maybe both.

"What's going on?" I asked, confused.

"George didn't tell you?" Kaitlyn asked.

I shook my head.

"Paul was watching us. Grandma saw him outside. When she brought him in, he kinda went mad..." Kaitlyn explained.

I looked closely at Paul. He had a red mark on his face, as if someone hit him. I looked to John, but George cleared his throat awkwardly, shaking his head.

"I had to calm him down," Kaitlyn told me.

I looked at George, my jaw dropped. Kaitlyn tried not to use violence since the incident when she was younger. Her parents had tried to kill her, the only way to stop them was for her to kill them. Ever since then she didn't use violence, and she hated that John was always fighting.

"Well, is he okay?" I asked.

"I'm okay, just a fucking idiot," Paul finally spoke.

Grandma seemed relieved to see him talk.

"Are you sure you're alright?" I asked, leaving George to sit by Paul.

He nodded. "I need to go home." He stood up, his balance was shaky.

"Let us take you," I stood up and wrapped my arm around his side.

George moved to the other side of him and we carried him out to the car, putting him in the back seat. I sat next to him, keeping an eye on him.

"Are you really all right?" I asked as George began driving.

Paul rested his head on my shoulder. "I'm so sorry, Audrey. George, mate, I'm sorry."

I pushed hair out of his eyes, he was incredibly sweaty. "It's okay, Paul. Calm down."

He sighed. "I just want someone to help me get over her." He started sobbing.

The rest of the ride home I didn't move. I let Paul cry.

We didn't take him to his house. Instead, we brought him to George's. We rested him on the couch, gave him a pillow and blanket, and watched him quickly fall asleep.

George and I went to his room. He seemed to feel uncomfortable.

"Love, can I borrow some clothes to sleep in?"

He blushed. "Uh... Yeah- I mean yes." He looked through his clothes until he found an old tee-shirt and sweat pants. He handed them to me, looking down.

"Shall I change in the bathroom?" I laughed.

His face continued to blush. "Yes. You know where it is."

I quickly changed and joined George again. He had changed too, and was sitting on his bed.

I joined him. "Do you think, after school tomorrow, you can have a talk with Paul? Or maybe just all three of you could just hang out?"

George smiled. "Of course. And what will you do without me?" He smirked.

I laughed. "Talk to Kaitlyn, of course."

He nodded. "Sure love." He climbed and got under his bed cover.

I got under them too and cuddled towards him.

He turned off his lamp. "Good night, my love." He gently kissed me.

I yawned and shivered. I fell asleep to George quietly singing the song he wrote me.
