Stepping out of the car, we made our way up to the house just as my subject came waltzing out of her house. "Ah, Roslyn Bomgardi. Isn't it strange how we always end up running into each other." Hearing her name called, she stopped and turned to me with an annoyed expression as I spoke.

"I don't suppose it is all that strange when it is you that is always hunting me down." Letting off with a sarcastic tone, she then crossed her arms in an impatient manner.

"Nice place." Commenting dryly in response to her attitude, it was tine to cut to the chase. Things didn't add up, and I would get to the bottom of it.

"Family money, I recently came into a lump sum amount that was untouched. It's funny, the good you find can come your way by the passing of a family member." Shrugging her shoulders, she fixed her purse under her arm securely and continued to act as though we were keeping her from something important.

"Drug money." Cut in Adrian, a steady glare set on Mrs. Bomgardi.

"I beg your pardon?" Gasping at the accusation, she then turned her attention back to me. "My son has been free all but one day, and you people bring in big city? What makes this so important that you'd disgrace this city and pull in the men in shiny suits?" Digging for information, her eyes cast back and forth suspiciously between the two of us.

"We take cop killing very seriously, not many people can side with a murderer." Giving her a disgusted look, he only received a roll of the eyes.

"You would think by now that you've learned your lesson on getting yourself a partner, especially after you lost your last one." Laughing in my face, my heart momentarily stopped beating at the comment. I could feel Adrian glance my way, but he beat me to talking.

"That's enough. It wasn't her who killed all of those innocent people, it was your son. The son that you are currently sticking up for by not telling us where he is. Any particular reason for that perhaps?" Looking past her now toward the house, I could sense her eyeing him up and freezing at his actions. "You see in my city, harboring a fugitive makes you just as guilty as their crimes. You're son is looking at a lot more jail time for jumping parole, who's to say that we don't take you across the bay and let you rot in our prison once this all blows over. It would be pretty hard for a stuck up, frail older woman like you to survive within the walls. You'd need to make friends in there if you want to survive, and you don't strike me as the type that many people like to have around them." Glaring down at this woman, I was surprised to say the least that he stuck up for me in a way.

"I have not seen my son, he knows that it would be the very first place you'd check. Frankly, I have no desire to ever see him again after he was foolish enough to kill a couple cops." Rolling her eyes annoyed, I felt my anger rise.

"Five. He killed five detectives, along with three civilians, and two medical personnel in that last attack. He killed a total of twenty people in his run of bombings, I do not wish to add any more bodies to that count. I know you didn't just come into a lump sum of money, and I do plan to get to the bottom of it. I also know that family loyalty is big to his games, and that you'd be dead if you weren't still proving loyalties. So no, I don't believe that you haven't come into contact with your son. Don't piss me off, I've been kind enough so far as is. If I find that you have any connection to any of the actions he does next, be sure that I'll be coming for you too." Giving her a dirty look, it didn't take much more for me to see that this interrogation was over. This sudden endowment has me wanting to take a look inside to see if she's got something similar to what Donzo did going on. But a nice home doesn't give me grounds for a warrant. She's hiding something though, I can feel it.

"You'd really allow your son to continue killing people?" He didn't bother hiding his disgust for her, it was evident in his look as well.

"I love my son detective, do you know what that's like? To love someone with everything you've got, to make sure no harm comes their way no matter the price? Don't come here again without a warrant, I can promise you that you won't find anything leading you to Vincent. Now if you'll excuse me." Huffing at the two of us, she pushed by us and headed to the curb. "Oh, and I really did mean what I said detective. You should have known better than to bring others into this mess, he's more than definitely coming to finish where he's left off." Giving a nod my way and ignoring Adrian's glare as he moved his hand toward his holstered gun, she then got into her black sports car and drove away.
