I didn't remember closing my eyes, but when I opened them I found myself in an unfamiliar room. Hearing a beeping sound and seeing wires attached to me, my heart began to beat faster and faster as panic started to set in. Ripping the wires from my arms, I sat up and let my feet hang from the bed as I looked for my things. A loud beeping started going off in the room, stirring up my mind as pain set in. Wincing, I hopped down to the floor and gasped as my ribs made their presence known. Removing the gown I was in, I found clothing folded nearly on a chair and started throwing the items on. As I had the shirt over my head, the door to the room swung open and revealed a frantic nurse. "You shouldn't be out of bed. You're ribs are bruised, and you were to be on oxygen therapy to help your lungs get back to health from the blast with all of the damage they've seemed to have sustained." Moving toward me, I shot my hand out in warning for her to stay back.

"What time is it?" I asked, ignoring her as I carefully shimmied into the pants.

"What's going on, what's happening?" Came a panicked Mo as he barged into the room out of breath. "Oh child." Letting out a relieved breath, he shook his head at me and came in for a hug. I was thankful he wasn't a second too soon or he would have caught me undressed yet. "Why are you out of bed?" Scolding me, he knew better than to try and get me back into it. After the first attack and being in the hospital, I can't stay in one without having a panic attack.

"The time?" I asked, looking between the two impatiently.

"Quarter till nine." Quietly spoke the nurse, giving us a confused look.

"I'm late, I'll need discharge papers please." Looking at the nurse, she shook her head at me disapprovingly.

"The doctor would really like to keep you overnight, he's also mentioned PTSD therapy and some labs. Leaving now could result in serious health problems as you haven't fully recovered yet. It's against medical orders that you go." Trying to rope me into staying, I rolled my eyes at her and nodded.

"Then mark me leaving as AMO. I need those papers, now please." Shaking my head at her, she sighed and left once seeing that I wasn't going to relent.

"Why do you do this to yourself? Can't you just rest, take a day off? I could tell he was worried for me, he always is. Smiling softly, I let my hand gently hold his frail old chin.

"Then that wouldn't be me, now would it?" I asked, seeing the saddened shake of his head no in return. "Will you help me get these shoes on, I need to stop by the precinct before Ronald gets there." Fighting through the pain, I began putting on the shoes when he stood frozen in his place.

"Let me, lord knows you'll need the help with your stubbornness." Grumbling under his breath, I was relieved when he took the other shoe from me and helped put it on. "I'm no fool you know, I know you don't plan on just stopping by." Shaking his head at me again, he offered his arm as the two of us walked out to the desk to retrieve my release papers.

"I really wish you'd stay." Sighed the nurse as she reluctantly handed over the clipboard.

"Crooks to catch." Shrugging in return, I grabbed the papers and quickly filled out where necessary. With that, we quickly left for my job. I was hoping I didn't miss too much while I was out. I'd need to hear what forensics had to say about the blast.

"I can't force you to stay in the hospital or to go home, but please do my heart a favor and take it easy these next few days." Requested Mo as he pulled into the parking garage and slowed down at the scene where my car used to be. I knew Ronald would have been here already, the fact that he isn't at the hospital let's me know that urgent matters had him elsewhere.

"I'll do my best. I love you Mo." pressing a kiss to his cheek, I grimaced as my ribs pressed against the middle console.

"I love you too sweet, be safe." Giving one last nod, I got out of the car and stared for a few moments at the burnt area my car used to be. I was surprised it didn't do much damage to the building itself, the most damage done was to the wall that sat behind my car. No one had been parked within two parking spaces next to me, so I'm assuming their cars were fine. Getting into the elevator, I took a deep calming breath and left my eyes closed for the ride up. The second the bell chimed, I walked into the frenzy of an office and rolled my eyes as everyone stopped and stared at me.
