"Alright I'll just do one last check around the house in case we forgot something. You guys can just wait in the car.",I said

A series of 'Yes' chorused before the guys headed towards the car.

I stepped back into the house and quickly checked every room. I went out of the house and took a good, long look at it, taking in all the details. Guess this is goodbye.

A stray tear rolled down my face and I wiped it. There were so many memorable memories that occurred in this very house. I never thought I could get so emotional over a house.

I walked over to where the navy blue sedan is parked and opened the door of the back seat. I took one last glance at the house and went inside the car.

"Okay, everyone ready?",Andrew asked tiredly. He looked like he didn't sleep at all last night.

We all nodded and waited for Jeff to start the car. The car sputtered a bit before we drove off.

[Pause]

Okay let me flashback to where we left off.

Flashback:

"Okay repeat the plan again.",Mark said.

"We're going to take Andrew's sedan and drive north where the cabin is. Andrew's gonna grab his car, Me and Jeff's gonna pack the stuff, and you and Jay will keep updated on the news for any further information about the zombie thing.",I explained.

He thought for a moment before nodding slowly nodding his head, signaling his understanding.

"Okay guys sleep well tonight, we got a long day ahead of us."

End of Flashback

"Hey Mark, can you pass me some chips? I'm kinda hungry.",Jay said sheepishly.

Mark chuckled and rummaged through his bag before chucking a bag of chips at Jay. He opened the bag and wasted no time in wolfing down the chips hungrily.
I looked at the chips with drool coming down the side of my mouth and he responded by holding the chips close to my face.

"Want some?",he asked teasingly.

I quickly wiped my mouth and tried to look as normal as possible. "Sure.",I answered, my voice cracked a bit.

He snickered and passed me the bag of chips. I snatched it and munched on the remaining chips. That caused everyone to laugh at me. My cheeks turned a slight shade of pink.

In an attempt to stop the humiliation, I balled the empty bag of chips and threw in Jay's direction. The good news was that the bag had successfully hit someone. The bad news, it hit Andrew instead of Jay.

His eyes glowed a brighter red, followed by a low growl. I looked away nervously and the others did the same. Angering Andrew was probably the last thing I wanted to do, especially because he's usually grumpy during the morning. I have spent time long enough with him to know a detail or two about him.

To my surprise, he started laughing. Everyone of us looked at him in disbelief. He wasn't the type to play pranks or joke around, he was the no funny business type of guy. Well I guess not anymore then.

"Wow,I can't believe that he just pranked us and we fell for it.", Mark thought out loud. Well neither do I.

I guess being a zombie can really change a person.

Although I soon realize that that statement wasn't exactly true. But I ain't gonna ruin the story by giving spoilers, now why would I do that?
