"So we're supposedly called nightstalkers, Mark is called a runner, and Andrew a terror?",Jay asked.
"I guess so, that's what the scientists on tv now calls it.",Jeff shrugged.
"Sounds pretty cool.",Mark idly commented.
"C'mon guys, stop slacking around. We got a lot to do today.",Andrew reminded.
"Really what are we even supposed to do today other than patrolling?",I asked.
"The humans wants us to quicken our pace in setting up the fences.",he replied with a sigh.
I let out a growl and they looked at me in confusion. "I'm starting to think that they're manipulating us. We wanted to earn their trust by doing them favors and they know it."
All of them nodded in agreement and Andrew answered,"Even so, this is also for our benefit. Think about it, the better we secure the area the less problems we have to deal with. I-"
"Alright,we get it. Let's just get this over with.",Jeff cut him off abruptly.
I stretched my arms before grabbing an axe and started chopping a couple of logs. Jay and Jeff did the same while Mark helped Andrew to chop down the trees.
Storm was resting peacefully inside my tent, tired from the training session I had her go through. It wasn't much of a training, only some laps around the cabin and basic puppy training. I don't want to push her too far.
"Hey zombies, catch!"
I didn't have enough time to register what was going on when I ducked instinctively. A loud splash sounded from behind me. I turned around and saw a deflated red water balloon.
I looked at a sandy haired lady holding more water balloons beside a bulk man. I snarled fiercely at the couple and they recoiled in shock. The lady dropped her water balloons and jumped onto the man's arms.
Laughter erupted from my fellow zombies and I found myself doing the same. The couple quickly went back into the cabin out of fear. "Did you see the looks on their faces?!",he croaked in between laughs.
"Man, that was hilarious.",Jay chuckled.
"Okay, let's get back to work now.",Andrew said strictly but I could smell amusement radiating off of him.

It's been a couple hours and now we're installing the fences on Jay's border, the last border. I may have zombie strengths and have been helped by the others but damn did installing all those fences took a toll on me.
My legs feel like jelly, my arms are sore, and to add to the pain, Mark had accidentally sliced my cheek when he was cutting the ropes. The cut had closed up pretty quickly thanks to my zombie healing but it still stung a bit.
I had also discovered a really useful trick. If you put animal blood on a wound, it will increase your healing rate a lot. I had put too much blood on my cut and it made a burning sensation.
"Hey Ash, stop daydreaming. The sooner we get this done, the faster we can take a rest.",Jeff said, snapping me out of my trance.
"Sorry, I was telling our readers about what had happened in the last few hours.",I replied.
"Don't break the forth wall!",Jay yelled.
"Shut up Jay, I wanna hear Ash's storytelling!",Mark piped in.
"Stop fooling around and get back to work!",Andrew barked.
"Yes sir.",we replied in sync.
30 minutes later......
I tossed the twig a few meters away from where I was sitting and Storm ran with her stubby little legs to return it. She jumped onto my lap with the twig in her snout. I ruffled the fur on her head and she licked my hand.
An unfamiliar scent lingered in the air and I could tell it was a runner though it definitely wasn't Mark.
"Guys, someone has breached the fence."
