Knock....knock.....knock....

I stepped back and waited. The door suddenly swung open revealing a brunette with a double-barrel shotgun pointed towards me. I raised my hands up and cleared my throat as a sign for the rest to follow the gesture, which thankfully they did. Storm shifted into a more defensive position and bared her teeth.

"Who are you and what do you want?",she said rather harshly.

Jeff stepped forward and faced her or more rather the end of her gun. "I'm going to say this in the most non-threatening way as possible but this is actually our cabin."

Bang!

Jeff fell to the floor with a thud.

"So you think you can just come here and kick us out?!",she screeched.

Mark immediately shook his head and put up his hands. "What my friend was trying to say was that we're going to start living here but you guys can still stay. Deal?"

She thought about it for a moment before lowering her shotgun and stepping to the side. "Come in then.",she said softly. Wow bipolar much

I stepped in first with Storm by my side and the rest followed behind. Once we're all inside, the woman closed the door behind her. I glanced around the living room and everything was pretty much the same as when we've left it. The brunette offered me a hand and introduced herself,"I'm Anna, Anna Gray."

I took her hand and did the same. "I'm Ashlynne Miles and that is Jeff who is my brother, Mark,Jay, and Andrew.",I said as I pointed to the boys one by one.

She nodded and let out a whistle. Suddenly, a bunch of humans came inside the room. "It's safe, they're good.",Anna informed. They all let out a sigh of relief.

I took a deep breath and checked my control. Then, I inspected every one of them. There were about 4 people in total not including Anna. A woman who seemed to be in her late 20s, a man who appeared to be of the same age of the woman carrying a crowbar, an old lady holding a cane for support, and a little girl carrying a stuffed teddy bear.

"I need to get out.",Mark said abruptly and went out. Jay looked at us and muttered 'me too' before going out as well. The rest of us exchanged worried looks. "Okay we need to talk for a while outside.",I informed before grabbing Jeff and Andrew by the hands and walked outside.

"What are we going to do?",I asked once we were out of sight.

"Should we tell them that we're zombies?",Jeff piped in.

"They're not going to take the fact that we're zombies lightly and kick us out.",Andrew pointed out.

"But what if by some miracle, they won't. What are we going to do about Jay and Mark?",I retorted with a another question.

"Why don't we ask them to sleep in tents outside the cabin as a temporary solution until we find a permanent one?",Jeff suggested.

"That could work.",I said slowly nodding my head.

"Okay then that's what we're going to do. Me and Jeff's gonna explain the situation while you go find Jay and Mark.",Andrew replied.

I sniffed the air but I can't find exacts scents of them, only faint traces of their scents scattered across the area. They must be somewhere downwind. With that thought, I wasted no time and tracked all scents of their trails in hopes of finding them. But oh boy, did it take me hours upon hours to find them.
