"Move.",she said harshly, pushing me. The water inside the cup I was filling spilled onto the floor. Storm growled at her and bared her teeth. It took all of my being to not lash out on her. Her smell was already tempting my control.

"Look Anna, I know that you don't trust us but you don't have to be so mean. Sheesh.",I said, squinting my eyes at her.

I placed the cup beside the water dispenser and tossed her a box of tissues. "Clean it."

I walked past her with the little grey wolf trailing behind and exited the cabin. Mark and Jeff were setting up some chairs while Andrew was chopping up a couple of logs for the fire pit. "Hey guys, where's Jay?"

Jeff looked up and answered,"I think he's hunting somewhere towards the south part of the forest."

"Okay, do you need any help? 'Cause if you don't, I'm gonna go patrol around my border.",I stated.

We had decided to split the forest a bit and put some borders by rubbing different kinds of herbs on the trees to mark each borders. Each of us except for Mark chose a border to patrol.

I chose West, Andrew chose North, Jeff chose South, Jay chose East, and Mark was in charge of making wooden fences ,not that it can stop the higher ranking zombies, but it might give the humans a sense of security.

"Yeah, why don't you go find some more berries with Storm?"

"Okay, C'mon girl.",I called.

Storm yipped cheerfully and wagged her tail wildly. We've bonded a lot for our first few days together.

I started to head towards the forrest surrounding us. I sniffed the air and I could smell rabbits, deers, birds, and Jay's scent somewhere upwind. This might take a while....

And it did.

Four freaking hours later......

"Finally!",I exclaimed.

I spotted a bunch of bushes with bright red juicy looking berries. I was literally on the verge of losing my mind when I found them. I was considering going out of the borders to go look for the berries.

Luckily, I managed to find them when coming across the intersection between the south and west borders. They're not even worth the time I took to find them.
I even had to go back to bring Storm to the tents because she was too tired to go on.

I started to pick the berries and placed them into a basket the humans so 'kindly' provided us with. A while later and the basket was nearly full. I decided to leave a few of them there for the local critters. Time to head back.

"Yo Jeff, I've already collected the berries."

No response.

I glanced around out camping area and it looked desolate. I quickly checked my tent and Storm wasn't there. I growled in frustration.

I marched up to the cabin and slammed the door open. The humans that were there looked startled but I didn't care at that point. My eyes glowed brightly with anger.

"Where are they?!",I yelled furiously.

The humans shrunk back at my voice but  the old lady took a step forward and said,"Do not worry dear, they're out patrolling the borders and Alyssa is playing with your wolf."

I took a deep breath to try and calm myself before I do any harm. "Where is she?"

"She's upstairs.",she replied.

I nodded and went upstairs. I heard giggles coming from the room at the end of the hallway.

I entered and found Anna sitting on the floor beside the little girl who was petting a tired looking Storm.

I sighed in relief and made my way to her. Anna saw me and sent a glare my way. I rolled my eyes and picked up Storm. The little girl looked at me and then to Storm.

"Can I play with her again?",she asked.

"Sure, but some other time. Next time, tell me first when you want to play with her. It freaked me out to not find her in my tent.",I said with a sigh. She nodded in response.

Soon after, I exited the cabin to find all the guys chatting and munching on some berries. I joined them and told them about the outburst I had. They all laughed at me but reassured me nevertheless.

I need to get used to this lifestyle.
