Chapter 15

Gajeels POV

I took in a deep breath. After running into Erza I didn't want to take any chances of her finding me or being able to take my precious Levy away. It was such a strange feeling, this attachment I had with Levy. The overwhelming need I had to protect her and keep her with me but I suppose it's always been that way. I started to think as I walked.

Flashback:

Jet: "Stop it Laxus! That's Enough"

Laxus: "The weaklings should say out of it!"

*Shoots Electricity at Jet and Droy*

*They dodge*

*Electric wave goes towards Levy, she's standing still like a deer in headlights*

*Without thinking, I jumped in front of it- absorbing it with my iron arm*

Present Day:

I smiled looking back at it. The look of Levy's face and the feeling of horror being lifted as I knew she was fae. It was great. And it started off our friendship of sorts, the love hat friendship. I've never felt like this towards anyone before so I wasn't really sure how to act so I guess I was a little harsh. But now my feelings were amplified and I had newfound confidence to do so. Then I began thinking back to the past again

Flashback:

Levy: "So you don't care what happens to me?"

Me: "I ain't said that!"

Levy: "But you just fight with everything..... You don't even think of me. Nothing at all."

Me: *starts patting her on the head* "Oh, so that's it? You think you can take me on, little one? Then you better get big and strong to face me head-on!"

Levy: "I'm weak, that's just how it is. I'm small."

Me: "Sheesh, you got better things to do than get depressed."

*Levy hits Gajeel round the face with her handbag*

Levy: "Get lost already! Stupid Gajeel!"

*Levy runs off*

Me (in thought): Damn, I didn't mean it like that. Jeeze.She's got quite the swing on her though. Wait what's that smell? That's nobody that I know from Fairy Tail and that ain't no animal either. Shit, it's going towards Levy!

Levy: *hears rustling in bushes "Gajeel?"

*A man and a chicken man jump out and the man attacks Levy*

"What? Who are you?"

*Chicken man grabs her wrists and holds her up, laughing and then slams her down on the ground so the man can harm her*

The Man: "First, we take one!"

*Swings his sword towards Levy to cut her. Gajeel jumps in front of it with his iron arm to save Levy*
