(Since I messed up the timeline, I'll probably won't write much on Burgundy. I want to focus more on Richard)
SEPTEMBER 1494:
Richard was preparing to go to sleep when someone knocked on the door. It can't be Lord Jasper since Richard had seen him before he went to bed.
Richard opened the door to find William. His father figure held a finger to his lips, telling Richard to be silent.
"Your grandmother and aunt wish to see you, but we have to be discreet", William whispered.
Richard redressed himself before sneaking out of his room. He followed William towards a secret passage that led to a secret room.
There, Margaret Of York and Duchess Cecily were waiting. William and Richard bowed before them.
"You wish to see me, lady grandmother?", asked Richard.
"We have a task for you, Richard", said Margaret.
"How would you like to be king like your father and grandfather?", asked Duchess Cecily.
William looked over to the boy. Richard frowned at the question.
"Why would I want to be king?", he asked.
"Because it is your birthright", said Margaret.
"I was told that I am a bastard. A bastard can not ascend to the throne unless by conquest", said Richard.
"We can help you with that", said Margaret.
"How? You can barely keep this place safe from France and you already have Warbeck as your pawn", said Richard.
"We should've snatched him when we had the chance", Duchess Cecily mumbled.
"Richard, do not listen to Tudor. They are our enemy. Don't you think it's odd that they gave you your father's title? Tudor wouldn't do such a thing unless he wants to use you", said Margaret.
"I know that", said Richard.
That caused Margaret and Duchess Cecily to frown. Richard was almost ten, yet his build and mind were advance of his actual age.
"What are you planning, Richard?", asked Duchess Cecily.
"I will make sure the title will stay with me until my last breath, should I never get married. I will make them trust me..., to the point where my loyalty will never be questioned", said Richard.
"They know, madam", said William.
"Damn them", Margaret cursed.
Duchess Cecily wobbled her way to her grandson. She caressed his cheek and smiled.
"You looked so much like your father, yet..., you're as tall as Edward, but careful! You cannot make George's mistakes", she told him.
Richard knew about George, Duke of Clarence. Maggie often told Richard about the Three sons of York.
"Don't worry, lady grandmother. I'll be fine", he said with a smile.
"Take care of him, William. Make sure you're not discovered again", warned Margaret.
"Yes, Your Grace", said William.
Richard had sailed back to London and he quickly asked to be excuse to St. George's Chapel, where his other grandmother, Elizabeth Woodville was buried. Richard often visited her when she was in Bermondsey Abbey until her dying days.
FLASHBACK (this was before Henry revealed to his children on who Richard was)
After knowing who he was and meeting Lady Mother at the river, Richard went to see Elizabeth Woodville. He knew gossips were simply gossips, but he had to know.
