(Freja returns, bringing her family to meet the man who will be with her for the rest of her life

EARLY 1500:

Richard smoothed his tunic, taking deep breaths. William gently turned the young duke to him.

"It's alright to feel this way", said William.

"What if I make a fool out of myself?", Richard's hands were shaking.

"You won't, I have faith".

"Were you this nervous, father? When you meet mother?", Drew asked, shutting the coffer in front of him.

"I was. I saw her when I first work at court. She was a maid and I am as I am. She was so beautiful. We got married before Tudor invaded", William fiddled with the ring on his finger.

"I don't really remember her", said Richard.

"You were too young. I doubt any of you'd remember".

Richard walked out, trailed by William, Drew and Robyn while Sarah met them along the way. They arrived outside at the same time as the royal family.

"Are you ready, Richard?", Henry asked, noticed how Richard was nervous.

"As I'll ever be", Richard took deep breaths as he gripped Pepper's rein.

"Move out!", Henry gave the order.

The men rode in their respective horses while the ladies took the litters. They reached Bedford after a day's ride, greeted by William Herbert and Kathryn Plantagenet.

Herbert and Kathryn bowed before the royal family before Richard properly greeted Kathryn, who was visible with child, with a hug. Of course, the younger royal children were a bit confused that Richard and Kathryn are siblings. Arthur knew because Richard had told him before.

"Come, Your Graces must be tired", Kathryn smiled and welcomed the royal family into Bedford Manor, which soon will become Richard's permanent resident after his wedding.

"Is everything prepared?", Richard asked.

"To the dot", said Herbert.

"When will she arrive?", asked Kathryn.

"If my calculations are correct, tomorrow", said Richard.

THE NEXT DAY

The people of Bedford lined up to see who would wed their lord. Freja peeked from the litter and was nervous to see how many people were giving blessings to her.

Freja's three older brothers, Erik, Harald and Christian were surprised how warm the welcome was. They have heard of Richard's accomplishments and decided to follow their father to accompany their sister to her soon to be new home.

The Svenssons arrived to Bedford Manor. Richard and the royal family were already waiting to greet them.

Erik helped Astrid and Freja off of the litter. Henry and Lizzie noted how Richard was mesmerised by Freja's beauty.

Richard noted how tall Frederick was. He bowed before his soon to be father in law, who replied with a hug.

"You'll do well. I trust my Freja will be happy with you", said Frederick.

"Allow me to introduce the royal family", said Richard.

Henry and Lizzie greeted Frederick and Astrid. Lizzie gave Freja a kiss to the cheek and smiled.
