Chapter 5

__HAJOON

"We're leaving now, mum!" I shout from the front door. She rushes over and envelopes me in a tight hug,"Good luck, honey. Don't disappear while you're at it!" she says and kissed me lightly on the cheek. I smiled, it felt nice to have someone support you despite their fears. I wave goodbye as I walk outside towards Jaehyeong who was waiting for me by front gate. He waved to my mother and we set of to our hired taxi and off we went to the airport.

"You ok? You seem kinda antsy." Jaehyeong whispered to me as the car drive along. "I'm all good. Don't worry." I smile, Jaehyeong nodded after looking at me with concern. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda worried. What if we never find Dojoon? What if we disappear instead of finding him? What if we're just wasting our time?

Before we knew it, we were boarding the plane. I took the window seat and Jaehyeong sat on my left hand side. I rest my head against the window as the plane takes off. I look over to Jaehyeong to see him asleep already. No surprise there, if I'm being honest.

I grab the backpack I brought from under my seat and open it. I pull out Dojoon's drawing and examine it, staring at the drawn visual of Dojoon. How can he be just as pretty, even in drawing form. I look out the window and see the clouds below us. Dojoon would've loved this. He never could do all the things that children do. I sigh and rest my head against the chair.

"Jaehyeong, wake up! We're here! We're finally here!" I vigorously shook him as he eventually woke up. "cALm dOwn! wE're gOnNa gO nOw!" and we left the plane. We hired a taxi to drive us to our hotel, which wasn't actually that bad, and chucked our bags onto our beds,"Let's go over the plan, ok?" Jaehyeong said.
"What plan? We just came here to go to the waterfall and all that jazz. We don't have a frackalacking plan! Oh my god! We're gonna die, Oh gOd-"
"Shut the fRicK uP! We'll be fine! Now, what time is it?" Jaehyeong shut down my panicking. He looked at his phone, and it read "4;56pm". gReAt.

"So, should be make a plan? jUst iN cAse?" I asked, just im not about to be eaten my poisonous potatoes and teenage mutant ninja turtles. "Eh, we'll be fine~" I gave Jaehyeong that seriously-we're-gonna-die-cuz-of-you face cUz wE'Re sCrEweD. "How long are we staying here?" I asked. I realised that I never popped up the question. "5 weeks since this is actually a valid excuse to get off school. aNnDddD we actually need the time. This'll be a long journey, if I do say so myself." I nod. "We should start tomorrow. If we have all that time. And we just got off the plane. I'm tired as hell." Jaehyeong agreed as we flop onto our beds.

I pulled out my phone and texted my mother to tell her that we had arrived at Jeju safely. I had also spoken to Dojoon's mother and told her about what we were doing. She was just as grateful and wished up good luck. Damn, it must've sucked to lose your son so early on.

As time passed on, I slowly fell asleep, and so did Jaehyeong.

"HEY YOU UGLY MUFFIN WAKE THE FRICK UP!" I woke up to see Jaehyeong jumping on my bed and screaming at me. I pulled his leg, making him fall," I am awake, you rotten dinosaur." I got up from the bed, Jaehyeong did the same. "We're leaving for the waterfall today, so get ready, you deluded tree." I say to Jaehyeong who was holding in his laughter,"yEs siR!" and with that, we got ready and left the hotel.

"So... when we find Dojoon, can you me invite to the wedding?"
"No."
"So you ARE getting married."
"Shut up!"
"But you're not denying it-"
"I sAid sHut uP!"
