• chapter twenty-five | Silent
I prepared my own breakfast, the same cereal she had — Fruity Pebbles. I don't know what she liked about this cereal, it tastes many kind of fruits and the combination is just not my type at all. And it looks like a child's cereal, so colorful and pastel. But, I had no choice but to eat it as well.
Right after eating that nasty cereal, I went upstairs. I can't get rid of the fact she ignored me. Like, when did she ever ignore me? Usually, I'm the one who ignores her, but she would do everything to get every inch of my attention, and now this? She's got to be joking because if not, I'll definitely show her to ignore.
No, Joker, you will not hurt her.
Whatever, I just need to know why she ignored me. I already miss her.
"Harley?" I called out, my eyes going back and forth through the halls, searching for the blondie. My eyes landed on our bedroom, where the door is wide open. I assume she's in there.
And to my guess, she is.
"What's wrong?" I asked, calming myself first as I sat beside her on the bed.
I looked down at what she changed to, a red shirt and gym shorts. Her blue and pink colored blonde hair was raised up to a messy bun, making my heart melt, she looked hot as fucking hell.
I waited for an answer, but nothing came out of her red painted lips, her eyes focused down to the magazine she was reading while taking a spoonful of her breakfast in her mouth. I clutched my fists together, upset at how she didn't respond and acted as if I didn't say anything.
"Harls?" I called, placing my hand on her shoulder, "Talk to me, baby girl." I demanded, furrowing my imaginary eyebrows together, glaring at her. But, she still didn't budge. What a brat. "Why are ya ignoring me?" I asked once more, raising my once calm voice out of irritation.
What did I do? What did I do to make her ignore me? Did I kick her off the bed while sleeping last night? Did I snore too loud? Did I fart?
I don't fucking know!
I placed both of my hands on her arms and forcefully made her look at me, nearly making the bowl of cereal that rested on her lap almost fall off the carpeted floor. "Answer me, Harley Quinn." I glared at her, threatening her, but not intentionally hurt her. But, she stood tall and ignored me, her eyes landing down to the Vogue Magazine she's going through.
I grabbed the magazine off of her hand and through it across the room. I held her chin sternly and made her look at me, "Answer me, goddamn it!" I growled. She just flinched, but kept her mouth shut.
Something's wrong with this little shit.
"What's wrong?" I asked for the second time. But still, no answer.
I got frustrated and just lets go of her. Her face was unreadable. I can't tell what she was thinking or feeling.I let my body rest against the bed head board with my arms crossed over my chest, mumbling cusses under my very breathe. She stood up from the bed and walked across the room, picking up the magazine I threw and placed down the empty bowl on the desk beside out bed. She sat down at the other side of the bed, her eyes focusing back to the magazine, going through page after page and not saying a single word to me.
I sat there still, I was determined to stay until she looks at me and talks to me. But it lasted about an hour or two and she still kept ignoring me, it felt like an eternity.
I had enough of her shit. I got upset and in a split second, I find myself whining at her. "Baby, stop ignoring me!" I cried out, wrapping my arms around her waist, imitating a pout.
She still didn't glance up at me, "C'mon, Harls." I whined, and just decided to plant small kisses on her neck and shoulders. "Stop ignoring Daddy."
After my attempt, she finally let out a deep sigh, setting down the novel she was reading and looked at me with a glare, "If ya want me to stop, ya have to promise me somethin'." She spoke, her blue orbs was so stern, it scared me.
I let out a scoff and just let my shoulders down and listened, "Fine."
"Ya shouldn't be outside the house after ten in the evening!" She huffed, crossing her arms.
What?! Now I have a curfew?!
"I'm not a damn kid, Harley." I protested, glaring back at her.
"Still, ya need to be home before ten." She protested back, "It's hard sleepin' without ya beside me, Puddin'!" She complained, whining a little.
I then sighed and rubbed the temple of my forehead, "Fine, whatever." I gave up. I couldn't resist whenever she complains because when she does, she won't stop blabbering about it and annoy me until I die.
