• chapter thirty-one | Disagreement

"What the fuck do ya want, Creep?"

On the way to Arkham, it was a little different, since the passenger's seat beside me was empty, and the whole drive was awfully quiet. My first drive off without Harley was like torture. The only thing that kept Harley off of my mind was the radio broadcast, news about what's happening in Gotham and especially about the B-man. Scoffing as I heard more positive news about him, I just continued to drive off to where Arkham Asylum should be.

The stupid government couldn't repair the building after I blew it up to pieces. Shockingly, the wrecked building was still there, untouched, abandoned. The bits and pieces of the structure was all over the ground, the building was barely standing because of the lack of balance and how the building might fall down any minute.

Sighing, his annoying, shrieking laughter scratching my eardrums. But, I didn't bother to even react to it. "Why, I never expected the Clown Prince of Crime meeting me!" He cackled. I don't know if this guy is trying hard or he's just really not good at being creepy.

I let out a low growl as I crossed my arms, glaring at the man in front of me. His hand running through his green hair, however, even if it's green, it wasn't as natural or bright as mine. "If you don't get to the point, I'm leaving." I grunted, keeping my eyes glaring at his.

He stood tall, his back arched straight confidently, and both of his arms rested on his waist as if he did something heroic. "I want to make a small partnership with you." He began.

Is partnering up with Shit Face and this Creep worth it? I mean, obviously I'll kill them right after I get what I wanted, it was no problem to get rid of them.

"Partnership? Against who exactly." I spoke, as if it wasn't a question, instead as a statement.
Lowly growling, feeling that he has a wicked plan behind his back, and I didn't like it.

"The one and only Batman!" He cheered, cackling at the end.

I groaned out of annoyance and just scoffed him off, "The Bat? Nah, no thanks, bud." I was about to turn my back at him and walk away, until I came to a stop right after I heard his words.

"Well, you wouldn't mind your queen being mine, hm?" I could imagine his wicked grin striking through my chest.

I don't know why, but I don't usually feel this weak unless the situation is about Harley. "How the fuck did you know?" I snapped, keeping my back to him.

He laughed first, his head pulled back as he laughed as loud as he could, and as annoying as he could. "It's all over the paper, Mister J!" He shrieked, sending me another annoying grin, "Never knew The Joker would actually love someone." He chuckled.

I turned around to him and chuckled, before it slowly turned to my signature laugh. Echoing through the abandoned location. "Ya got me crackin' for a creep!" I laughed, before I wiped my index finger across my eyes, wiping the tears that had formed just by me laughing.

And obviously, he hated how I could laugh at the most inappropriate situation. "If you don't agree on working with me, J. I'm sure to blow your girlfriend's head off."

My eyes widened, but I didn't let him notice it. Instead, I glared at him, growling lowly. This is why I don't want Harley out of the house and be seen by millions, enemies like this creep is using her against me. I grunted at the feeling I couldn't resist if Harley is in my own problems. I let out a sigh, brushing my fingers through my already gelled electric green hair. I formed another sinister smile at him, showing off my grilled teeth at him. "Fine, ya win, Creeper." I spoke, closing my eyes and lifting both of my hands up in surrender as I slowly walked to him, "What's the plan, hm?"

"Oh you wait, Mister J." He smirked mischievously, before letting out a cackle.

"Would ya please fucking shut up with you're laugh?"
