• chapter three | Work

The sun rays shined through the black blinds, hitting Harley's eyes that had made her wake up.

She groaned a little as she stretched her arms up in the air, she then scratched her eyes before sitting up from the black and gold bed. She stared blankly in front as she momentarily took a minute to make her dizziness fade. "Good mornin', Gotham City!" She giggled.

She then turned to her side, hoping to see her lover sleeping, but he wasn't even there. She sighed in disappointment, but then wondered where he might be. "Puddin'..." She wondered, and then stepped out of the bed. Caring less of the fact she only wore her underwear and Joker's shirt, which looked so large on her. Her platinum blonde hair colored with red and pink on each ends hung loose over her shoulders as she opened the door of the bedroom and walked down the hall to Joker's office that she assumed where he'd be since he spends his whole time in there.

In happiness, she smiled widely as she saw the electric, shiney green haired man sitting on his chair. Doing his paperwork and his plans. She then snuck behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck and slowly massaged his shoulders and gave him a soft kiss on his neck, that made him release a low groan. "Good mornin', puddin'." She whispered on his ear and continued on massaging his shoulders. Just how he likes it.

"Good morning, babe." He smiled and turned around to her, Harley then sat on his lap. She ran her fingers through his green hair and pouted.

"You didn't wake up beside me again.." She complained, "You never wake up beside me, puddin'..."

"Oh, I'm sorry, honey." He stated, caressing her cheek softly, "Ya know I have work to do."

"About that Bat again..?"

Joker sighed and kissed her nose, begging for forgiveness. "I'm sorry.. Don't be mad, babe."

Harley only giggled and pulled him into a kiss, "I would never be mad at ya, puddin'." She giggled, then attempted to get off of his lap, "I'll cook breakfast for us." She stated, but her attempt was failed when Joker wrapped his arms around her waist, keeping her on his lap.

"Let Frosty do it." He stated and rested his head on her chest.

Harley then pushed his head away and glared at him, "Puddin', no." She dragged, "And besides, ya have work to do." She glared at him as she then crossed her arms, "Ya told me that just a second ago."

Joker then sighed, a failed attempt to make her stay. Well, it was his own fault for saying that. He then grunted and frowned, "Fine. I'll be downstairs in a while." He stated.

Harley then held both of his cheeks and gave him a peck on his lips, "Don't be long, puddin'!" She giggled before getting off of his lap and headed out of the door of his office. But Joker didn't let her leave without smacking her ass, making Harley flinch and strike a glare at the mischievous, winking Clown. "I'll be poisoning your meals if ya do that again." She threatened, rubbing her ass cheeks.

"I couldn't help it." He chuckled before turning back to his desk.
Harley scoffed and just walked downstairs, to the Kitchen.

After Joker dove back into the tank of chemicals to save Harley 3 years ago, Joker accepted her love and the two of them became the King and Queen of Gotham City. They were inseparable, they were dangerous together. They both committed crimes together, ruling over the city together.
But what made Harley accept, was Joker not admitting it to her.

Their relationship can be unbearable for Harley, since whenever Joker is stressed or upset, he would hit her. Mercilessly. But Harley accepted it, Harley knew he couldn't control himself that well, so she let it slide. And it was okay since he would apologize after a day or two.

But hey, she still loves him, though she often feels that he does, but Joker does, too.

Really bad.
