• chapter thirty-six | Date out

She keeps clinging onto me.

Here I am sitting on my desk, trying to do my work peacefully. But guess what, Harley is still on my lap, her small body still clinging onto my body.

She was literally sitting on me, her head rested on my shoulder, I was assuming she's sleeping on me.

"Harls." I called out, cooing at her ear. I stroke her blonde hair that laid down all the way to her back, trying to wake her up in he most calm way since I know how much she missed me. "Harley." I spoke again, my voice raising its volume a little, higher than my first call. I patted her shoulder softly and kissed her forehead, completely stopping at what I was drawing on the blank blueprint paper.

"Wake up." I demanded, shaking her this time. "I can't work with ya sleeping on me." I grunted, getting slightly irritated and annoyed as she was still not giving any clue that she woke up.

I let out a deep sigh and just decided to continue on work, I didn't want to disturb her or even annoy her at the moment she wakes up.

But before my fingers would grip on the pencil that is laid on the desk, she shifted, groaning in a tiring manner. "Puddin'?" She questioned, her soft voice a whisper on my ears.

"If ya feel sleepy, ya should get back to bed."

Her arms suddenly swung around my neck and held me tighter, making me yelp and groan at the sudden movement she made. "No." She stubbornly spoke, replying to what I said.

It got me irritated, but then I decided to just let it slide and be calm for once for her. "I can't work if you're sleepin' on me, pumpkin." I replied, stroking her hair softly. "Do ya want daddy to lose work? Hm?"

I was expecting a 'no', but she instead, replied a nod and muttered a "Yes." In response to my question. "I do." She teasingly replied, smiling mischievously back at me.

Her hand snaking around my neck, I just let out a small, defeated sigh before thinking, "Wanna go on a Date, pumpkin?" It was the first thing that had popped into my head to make it up for her.

She liked going out shopping for new clothes, accessories, weapons, make up, and everything that makes her happy. I don't understand why girls need that too much stuff for them to live.

"Date?" She perked up, her blue orbs shining in excitement back at mine, "Are we going out to the mall, pud?" She jolted up, clapping her hands in excitement.

I then smirked at her and pinched her small nose, "Nope." I simply replied, enough for her to frown. "We're going to the zoo."

"What? Why there?"

"We'll be getting you a pet, for you to have a companion whenever I'm out." I smiled, kissing her cheek softly.

"But, I want a puppy!" She whined out, pushing me away and crossing her arms against her chest. A big pout on her face as she glared at me.

"Babe, a puppy is just our pet piranhas' lunch." I scoffed out, looking back at her.

"But still!" She kept protesting.

I let out a sigh, before holding her arms softly and pulled her closer to me, "We'll get ya a better one, pumpkin pie." I replied, caressing her cheek, before squishing both of her cheeks, I mimicked out her pout, mocking her.

She glared back at me and got a hold of both of my cheeks and smudged them together, "Promise, pud?" She mumbled out because of her cheeks are.

I got confused as to why she did it back to me, but I thought it was kinda cute, so I had to let it slide.

I nodded my head and smudged her cheeks harder, "I promise, sweetheart." I chuckled out. "Now, go change, we'll leave in ten." I smirked, giving her a small kiss.

She then giggled and finally got off of me and stood up. Before she could walk out of the office, I smacked her ass, making her glare back at me.

"Can't help it." I winked at her, giving her a smirk before I turned back to what I was doing once she completely left the room, stomping out.
