Melissa's POV:
"Hey Tony!" I call. He's walking up to Gibbs' door while I'm just getting out of my car.
He turns to me with a smile on his face. "Peters." He walks towards me with a tub of cookie dough. "Don't you look nice."
I acknowledge the maroon dress that I'm wearing under my leather jacket with my converse'. "Thank you." I kiss him on the cheek. "You look nice as always."
"Thank you." He looks around confused. "Tim's not coming till later?"
I shake my head. "I don't think he's coming. He's with his sister."
"Ah. That's right."
I look past him and see the sky paint orange with purple. "It's a nice night though. It will be pitch dark soon."
He puts his arm around me, and we start heading for the door. "Come on. Let's not be so gloomy on Christmas."
He looks down. "What is that in the bag?"
I picked these up at Goodwill. I thought they were cute, and I thought I would go on with the theme of Tim's present. I have his present in here. I just hope everyone isn't nosy tonight and wants to go through it. I pull out the one assigned for Tony. "They're ornaments. They all have a space to put a picture in." I hand him the striped green and red one. "I like this one for you. It's classic, but you can pick whichever one you want."
He smiles and kiss the top of my head. "Are you kidding? I love this one. Thank you." He makes an awkward face. "I didn't get you anything."
"Oh, that's okay. Besides, this was a late decision anyway."
We make it to the door and let ourselves in. We see Gibbs, Abby, and Ziva sitting on the couch watching the news on a day like this. I feel like I'm at home.
Abby turns to us and beams. "You guys made it!" Abby shouts and gets up to hug us both. The others follow in her lead.
"Hey Ziva." I hug her extra tight because she's the only one who knows what happened the other night.
"How are you?" She whispers into my ear.
I shake my head. "I'm doing okay." I hand her the silver glitter ornament that isn't exactly her thing, but it's closest out of all of them. "You can put a picture in it of anything you want and hang it on your tree."
She smiles and gives me another hug. "Thank you, Melissa. I didn't-"
"It's okay." It was a late present anyway. I forgot about everyone's present because I was a little occupied. I didn't give everyone a present last year. I just saw this and thought it was a cute idea.
Gibbs tells Tony to be careful with the oven. He comes over to me and I wrap my arms around him before he can even speak.
"Merry Christmas Peters." He says chuckling.
