Five days passed. Nathan did not wake up. Every time I fretted over my best friend, Gail would soothe me by saying the sedative she had given was a strong one. I tried to allow the words to calm me down..but it didn't work.

Everyday, I would come down right after taking a bath. Spend the day with him, talking to him, even if the conversation was one sided. I would fall asleep next to his bed, clutching his hand. And then repeated it all over again the next day.

I didn't even train, Eli just leaving me be for the past few days.

I was sitting next to Nathan. He still had not stirred from his sleep. But the sound of his even breathing calmed me. There was no way in hell I would allow for my only best friend to die on me. No. Freaking. Way.

I was getting really frustrated that he still had not woken up, so I playfully threatened him.

"I swear Nate, if you dont get up right now, your head is going to be full of earthwo-" I said, but got cut off with a certain someone's eyes flickering open.

"Oh my God!!!!!" I squealed, hugging him from his place on the bed.

I heard a weary chuckle, and soon two hands enclosed me in a warm hug.

"Hey princess..looks like you finally remembered." He said, wincing slightly as I looked up at him. I raised my brow.

"You're..hug...is..just..a..bit..too.. tight..for..a..guy..who..had..alot..of..bloodloss..princess." He managed to say.

I smiled sheepishly at him and let him go.

"Not princess you dimwit. I had told you then and I will tell you now. Its An to you." I said, shuddering at his choice of nickname.

Nobody had dared to call me An in my life. Not even my parents. But this fool sitting in front of me had. So I had to admire his guts and allowed him to keep the nickname. I know. I am such a generous person.

"Sorry. I just thought you had changed." He said, giving me a crooked smile.

I rolled my eyes." The day I changed would be the day hell's raging fires freeze over so.." I drawled.

He snickered. "Right. Still have any earthworms up your sleeve?"

I blushed. It had not been my best moment....

Damn you 5 year old Andrea..

But his smile softened.
"I missed you An."

"Well..I had thought you were a dream so... I guess it's safe to say I missed you too, fool."

"Oooo, was I so beautiful that a person like me could never exist in real life?" He said, fluttering his lashes dramatically.

"Something like that. But now that i spoke to you...i am questioning my sanity.." I said, maintaining a straight face.

He grinned. I burst out laughing.

"I should probably go let Father and Mother know." I said, getting up and stretching, hearing a few pops.

Nate grabbed my hand, wincing.

I rushed to him.
"Are you alright? Fool what is the matter with you?! You're hurt, you dimwit!" I yelled.

He smiled sheepishly, but jerked his head to the chair.

"I haven't seen you in 12 years, An. Fill me in. You can tell Aaron and Libra later on." He whined.

He was perhaps the only person alive, apart from my parents themselves, to call my parents by their first names.

I smiled at him, shaking my head. Oh Nate. Now that I knew for certain you were real, I realised I had been missing you. For a long time.
