Rain was couching by her parked car on the top of the large aircraft, checking to see if she scratched or dented it. She found nothing, and turned at the sound of Iron Man's hand blasters charging. "What're you doing here?" His voice had a slight computerized tint to it. Rain stood up, and smiled mischeviously. "Well, I saw your recruitment thing on the news, and I wanted to see if I was able to join."

Tony sighed and put his arm down. "Now why didn't you go when it was open?" Rain frowned. "Because I was working, and when I got there, it was closed. I got a little mad." She crossed her arms and leaned onto her right leg, slightly sticking her left foot out a bit. Stark tilted his head in agreement.

"Now who is this?" Fury stalked out of the door that poked up from the top and went over to the two of them. "Rain Withersteam, sir." Rain stuck her hand out for Nick Fury to take. He took it caustiously. "What are you doing here, Miss Withersteam?" Quickly, Rain explained again.

"Alright, let's go back down and search her up." Fury was looking at Rain, but was speaking to Stark. "Keep on the suit." All three of them walked back towards the doors, the wind making Rain's hair fly into her face. Fury walked infront of her, and Stark behind her. She stared in awe as they entered the ship.

Some how, Fury had gotten a file about Rain's past, including the tesseract part. Fury commented on this as they were walking back into the main command station. "So, Captain Withersteam, you had a doctor heal you with the tesseract, if I am reading this correctly." Steve Rodgers was sitting at the table, resting his head on his palm while his elbow leaned against the armrest. Rain noticed him look at her and frown. Quickly, she politely corrected Fury. "Yes sir, and there is only one Captain in this room. Please, just call me Rain."

Steve relaxed a little bit, pleased at what she had said. Rain let out a quiet sigh of relief. She didn't want to make enemies on this team at the moment. Fury glanced up at her form and snapped it shut. "Alright, Withersteam. Let's see what you can do." Rain grinned. "Glad to." She looked at Tony, who was too busy checking for any paint scratches on his suit. Her eyes glowed brighter, and a scratch was making its way on Tony's shoulder. It let out a small whine as it grew larger. He glanced at it and frowned. "This thing costs big time. If you break it, you buy it."

Rain snickered and curtsied. "My bad, Mr. Stark. Let me fix that." Rain looked back at the scratch, and it slowly dissolved away. Tony looked at it and pulled his mouth down in a "not bad" expression. "Very nice, but we know you can turn into a dragon. Is that the only thing?" Fury was watching her intently, sending a shiver down her spine. Rain thought for a moment, judging the space she had. She bent over and turned into a very large tigress.

"I can still talk while in animal form." she added, then turned into a Phoenix, her fire a dark purple, almost black. "Impressive," Captain piped up, "but I noticed something." He stood and made his way around the table where Rain was perched on the head of a chair. "Can you turn back into another animal please?" He had a hand on his chin, deep in thought. Rain complied wearily, and turned into a wolf. "I noticed that most of your animals' skin or fur or scale colors are either gray or purple; all of them have this... insignia on both of their shoulders."

Stark stuck his pointer finger up. "Good observation. One point to the old man!" Rain roles her eyes and replied to Steve. "I choose these things, and I'm able to use natural animal colors when I morph. The symbol appeared on my shoulder like a tattoo after my operation. I think it is because my squad would call me Nightwing, from me being able to sneak about without being seen nor heard."

Fury told Rain to wait with them at the table as they tried to contact the rest of the team to vote. Nine o'clock came and went, and as it approached the half hour mark, Rain spoke up. "I need to leave. Here is my phone number if you need to contact me." Rain wrote down her digits and thanked them for having her, walking back towards the direction she came from.
