It has been a month since Rain joined the pack as their Luna. She gained everyone's respect and trust on her own, and learned about the wolves' rules and rutines. Her stomach had taken on a small pudginess. The pack doctor, Kyle Jorse, said that the baby would be born in about four more months.

She also learned that the wolves stopped aging once they first turn, and that after a year, they can age on command. Later, Joshua told her he was turned into a vampire by Lium by force, so he was a hybrid. This would help the pack believe that the babby was his, he had added.

Steve and Fury also visited her a few weeks later, and she told them the news, unsure whether it was good or bad. "I'll help you with anything you need- you just tell me what." Steve pulled her into a hug, and she started to cry again.

Now, Rain was walking from Joshua's house to the cabins alone. Joshua had called off the escorts for Rain, which had pleased her. He made sure that if anyone approached her while she was walking, they would tell her through the link.

As she was walking, Rain kept hearing leaves crack. She would turn and scan the shadows for heat signs, only for nothing to come up. For about the seventh time, the leaves cracked, but they were much closer. "Who's there?" she called. No answer. She continued.

Another one cracked right in front of Rain, and she turned to run away. Right before she was able to turn into an eagle, something pricked the back of her neck. She fell forward, and everything was in slow motion. She let out a scream. Joshua- !

Everything went black.

Rain woke tied to a cold, metal table with tubes and electric cables coming out of her arms. She had two separate cloths covering her private areas. She looked around the dim room, and could make out the machines plugged into her and a chair in the far corner.

If she made her eyes a little brighter, she was able to see the shadow of a bulky, well-muscled man sitting on the chair. Rain gasped and sat up, using her elbows. The form chuckled. "Hello, love. How did you like running around with the traitor and his little pack?" Lium spat out the words "traitor" and "pack".

Rain raised her chin. "I felt like I fit in." Lium stood and took the two steps to the edge of Rain's table, into the glow of her eyes casted. She noted that his jaw line, chin, and mouth area had taken up a strawberry blonde stubble. Rain could tell that he was trying to hold in his anger by the way his jaw muscles were flexing.

"You're cold." he stated. Rain rolled her eyes and looked away. "Thank you... Captain Obvious..." she grumbled. Lium slambed a fist into the table next to Rain's leg. "Dammit, Rain! You and your sarcasm!" Rain flinched away and glanced at the large crater where he punched the table.

Lium flashed out of the room for only a moment, and appeared again with a blanket and plastic matress, like the one in her room at the air base. He tossed the matress behind him onto the chair, then fanned out the lime green colored, silk fur, blanket onto Rain. In the matter of seconds, her whole body warmed. She grabbed the hem and pulled it to her chin, closing her eyes.

The sound of plastic scrapping across the cement floor made Rain open an eye. She opened it only to see Lium pick her up bridal style. "Lium!" Rain shouted. "What the hell?" Lium ignored her and put her on the matress. He straightened, then moved the machines closer to her so the tubes were lax.

"Scoot over." he commanded. Rain only glared at him, sitting up completely. "Unless you want me to pick you up again, I would scoot over if I were you." Rain paled and moved away from him so he had room. Lium kneeled down with his knees on the pad. He was wearing a light green button up shirt- with the sleeves pushed up, of course- and dark jeans.

"Lay down." he cooed. Rain could do nothing but obey with a disaproving look on her face. She made sure she had the blanket over her collar bone, and that her arms were outside of it. Lium spread out his fingers and put his hand on her stomach, palm faced down. His warm, hair-like touch sent an involentary shiver role through Rain's body.

He glanced at her face, but continued to move his hand around the small roundness of Rain's stomach. "She's growing as expected, and is very healthy." Lium noted. "How do you know it's a girl?" Rain tried to smack his hand away, though Lium caught her's instead. "They're always girls." he said bluntly. Rain scowled. "So you got some other random chicks that you met in the woods pregnant, too? I'm just another supplier to your 'family army'?" Rain used her fingers to quote "family army".

It was Lium's turn to scowl. "Who told you that?" His anger was promanant. "Nevermind. Anyways, no, Rain, I presonally didn't get the women impregnated. I had some of the clan males do that. And all the children were females. They grew a years worth in a week. Sadly, they only lived an actual year, which didn't make up for the two years in the womb."

Rain snapped up into a sitting position. "I have to sit her for two years with this monster growing inside of me?" she screamed. "Lay down!" Lium snapped, his eyes darkening dramatically. Rain shrunk away and put her head back down. "Our child, with the genes of a shape shifter and the first of a new vampire breed, will take an average of development in the womb. Then she will grow a years worth in a week until the sixth week after birth, then four years in a month. Once she reaches the average of sixteen years old look, she will cease aging and growing, taking on the gene from me. She also won't need blood to survive, from your gene."

Rain looked at him flatly. "I need to pee." Lium ran a hand over his perfect face- No, I can't think like that anymore. - frusterated. "Fine. Grab the IV stand after I pull out everything else." Before Rain could point out her disaproval, Lium carelessly yanked out some of the tubes filled with multicolored liquids, not including the electric wires, though he wrapped those around her wrist like a bracelet.

They both stood; Rain draped the blanket over her shoulders and held it with her left hand, the IV pole in the other. Lium led her out a door into an equally dim hallway. They continued down it and passed Ab, who froze momentarily. He glanced questioningly at Lium, but walked on.

Lium tugged Rain along as they passed through a very large room filled with beautiful male and female strangers. They all looked up at the sound of Rain's IV stand's wheels getting snagged on each cement tile's grout line. This is a warehouse full of Lium's vampire clan... Rain realized.

At the other side of the camp room- that's what Rain called it because there were tents pitched everywhere- they walked into a smaller hallway, which had a restrooms sign above it. Lium turned into the women's restroom with a bang of the door. There was a couple making out against the wall, the boy's hands a little too low beneath the chick's pants. Lium kicked them out with a single word. "Leave."

Lium followed them out to leave Rain to do her business. Once done, she washed her hands thoroughly. She peeked out the door to find Lium talking with a bored tone to a flirting blonde. She realized that it was Jim's girlfriend.Anger welled up inside of Rain to see that slut flirting with her man. Wait... he is not my man... She sighed and walked out of the bathroom once Lium dismissed Leila.

Rain noticed that all the men were watching her. Luckily, she was on the right side of Lium, so she was able to hide behind him. She shuttered when one of them, who was about twenty-seven years old, crossed his arms over his bare chest and grin seductively at her. She heard Lium give him a warning snarl.

The man glared at Lium with envy and stalked off to lock lips with Leila. Rain scoffed with discust and straightened her back. She scoffed again, this time at Lium's chuckling. "I'm still pissed at you for kidnapping me." she hissed matter-o-factly. This quieted Lium.

They walked back to the room Rain woke in. The matress was now on a foot tall, wooden block. It aslo had a sheet wrapped around it and a pillow. The metal table was nowhere in sight. Rain shuffled over to the bed and slumped down. "Get some sleep." Lium spoke.

Rain rolled her eyes and curled up under the warm blanket. She slowly closed her eyes. After a minute of trying to ignore Lium's presence, she felt his soft lips on hers. She tried to snatch his throat in her hand, but Lium had already flashed out of the room, close enough for Rain to hear his laughs echo down the hallway.
