Rain did not know how much time had passed since she woke up in her dark room. She did sleep a lot, though, and she could see her belly had grown significantly every time she woke. Sometimes, she would see Lium sitting in the chair, watching her. She'd ignore him and go back to sleep, and when she woke again, he would be gone.
Rain woke and looked at the empty chair, then sighed. She had to use the bathroom again. This was the first time she went without Lium. Each time, the same guy would grin at her. He was the reason why Rain was queazy about going. She had a feeling that he'd eat her, whether she was carrying Lium's child or not.
Slowly, she stood and wrapped the blanket around her shoulders to try and cover up her obvious baby bump. Rain glanced at her IV tube. Fuck this. She yanked it out and sucked on the small hole the tube left until it closed up. It would've been bad if she walked into a room full of vampires, bleeding.
Rain paused at the entry of the camp room. There were only a few of them in there, and most of them were girls. She fiddled with the electric bracelet, then quickly made her way to the bathroom. She made sure to look- even with her blanket. Entering the empty bathroom, Rain sighed with relief.
Quickly, Rain finished up. While she was walking across the camp room, she spotted that one dude. She faltered her steady stride and her heart beat quickened. He had his back to her, so Rain quickened her pace. I don't think he has seen me yet. she reassured herself.
Too bad he turned at the sound of her bare feet, and grinned. He flashed over to her, grabbed her, then slammed her against the wall. "Hello, dearest Rain. I've been waiting to greet you, but that old lump wouldn't let me close to you." e purred, his warm breath flowing past her neck. Rain turned her face away from him, and pressed against the wall as much as she could.
"Shall we take a look at that belly of yours?" He brushed away the blanket and kneeled in front of her, his face now level with her stomach. "No! Leave it alone! Lium!" Rain screamed. "Shh. shh, shh. Lium's not here, so you're booked with me." He quieted her by placing a firm hand on her bare bulge of belly. "Just me, Tony. I'll take care of you- better than Lium ever will." He started to draw circles on her skin with his pointer finger. Tony stood back up and began to scrape his fangs lightly over Rain's neck. "I bet you taste good." he whispered.
Rain saw something move behind Tony from the corner of her eye. "Yeah. he does." Lium snarled at him. ...what? Rain wasn't sure of what to think of that comment. "Sucks that you won't know from experience." Lium grabbed the back of Tony's neck and threw him onto the ground. There was an audible snap of his back.
Lium handed Rain her blanket. After she rewrapped herself, Lium placed his arms on her shoulders. "Did he hurt you?" he asked. Tony coughed and answered her question in a raspy voice. "I wasn't going to hurt her... just replace what's yours with mine. Sure, it'll take a while..." This was where Lium drew the line. He kicked Tony in the side, making him fly about seven yards.
"I'll send someone to kill him later." Lium seethed. "Just come with me." Rain nodded in silence as she stared at Tony's limp body. She knew that he won't be dead for a long, since he was a vampire and all. Though he will be by the night's end... Lium moved quickly through the hallway, making Rain trot after him every time she fell back.
They walked into her room, Lium closing the door behind Rain. She stood there for a moment, stunned. Then Lium made it worse by turning her around and forcing his lips onto hers. It took Rain a while to register what was happening. When she did, she pulled away from him, though he firmly placed his arms around her. Again.
"What do you think you're doing?" she scolded. "I am not your mate- ugh, damn wolves- your girlfriend." she sputtered. Lium chuckled. "Yeah, but you're still mine, love." Rain was outraged, but gave up. "Whatever." She went back to the bed once Lium let her go and lied down. She Lium follow her and rolled her eyes.
"What?" she sighed; she had began to shiver. "The blanket stopped working." he mused. "What do you mean it's not working?" Rain felt the matress give in to Lium's weight. "You'll freeze in here." he answered her unstopken question before she could turn around and punch him.
Again, she sighed. Lium took this as acceptence and slid up next to her. Bit by bit, his warmth slowed her shivering. She felt his hand tentatively move to her belly. Rain wasn't able to shoo it away, because she had already fallen asleep against his warm chest.
