As Lium turned into a driveway, that had a gate blocking the way in, off of Highway 380, Rain realized that it had only been 10 minutes, and that they were only a couple of meters away from the main entry of the Lake Ray Roberts parking lot that they were originally at. "Hey, what is this?" she questioned, worry tinting her voice. Lium just looked at her and winked, getting out of her car. Rain could only sit there for the 30 seconds it took for him to unlock the gate and open it. It had started getting a bit gray outside, so the headlights were on. As Lium stroled back to the car, he needed to squint his eyes slightly. Rain glared at him curiously all the way back.

When he opened his door and sat down, putting the Spider into gear, he finally answered her. "Sorry, I lied to you. My place was just right here." He beamed at her mischievously  Rain sighed quietly and shook her head. "You are a mysterious man, Mr. Hensin." she said grumpily. Rain, what have you gotten yourself into...?

The driveway was smoothly paved and winded up the large hill. The trees on either side of the pavement was densely packed and covered Hensin little sunlight that was left. It took several minutes to get to the house. It was a three story house made of brick. It had a couple of windows in the front and none on its sides. The wooden columns were holding up a spacious balcony that had a swinging bench connecting to the roof over it. It also had some outdoor lounge chairs that were padded with gray cushions. The house itself looked enormous, and would probably look larger on the inside.

Rain raised her eyebrows and thought Holy shit... She turned to him and noted that he had a look of contempt on his glorious jaw line. "And you said that the car was expensive!" she grumbled. Lium chuckled while he pulled into the main covered driveway of his mansion- house. "No garage?" she wondered aloud. "I do have one, but not that it'll fit in there." he replied nonchalantly and got out of the car, walking over to the passenger side door and opened it for her.

It began to really pour then. Wish I brought a jacket... Rain grabbed Lium's outstretched hand and stepped out of her car. "Thank you." she said in a slightly embarrassed, hushed voice. They walked through the double front door of his house and she was right. It was larger on the inside.

The entry way's walls were painted a soft cream, the floor tiled with light beige, squared tiles. It also had a table against the wall that had black, iron legs, and the top matched the walls. It was about waist high and had some mail neatly stacked in one corner, and had a tree looking key holder, its limbs hooked to hold the keys, that was a foot tall. The single light was also black iron and was in the middle of the ceiling, casting a soft, yellow light onto the wide corridor.

Lium placed Rain's keys carefully onto the holder and led her to the living room, which opened up on the right side of the corridor. It was also very large, and had a light tan color for the walls, the carpet fluffy and white. The couch was a four-seater, and a tan leather covering. The leather reflected the standing lamp that was on its left- in a corner. The lamp matched the light in the entry way. They were both on the far wall, facing the entrance, pressed against the wall. There were a couple of landscape paintings that looked very old on the far left wall. On the wall that was on the same side of the entrance, was a large, black iron fireplace. It had two rows of matching tile infront of it, and one of those gate things on the tile. There was a coffee table that matched the one in the hallway, but shorter.

Rain's eyebrows raised yet again. "Damn. Nice place." She grabbed ehr right elbow from behind her back awkwardly as she admired the simplicity of his living room. "Thank you. I don't need to do much to be entertained." Lium replied with pride in his voice. Rain slowly stolled over towards the couch. It also had a light green and beige blanket neatly folded over the back of the couch. "Please. Sit. I'll be changing real quick. Wait here." he held his open palm towards the couch, gesturing her to sit down. Rain complied.

Lium walked out of the living area and turned right. A few seconds, Rain (with her heightened hearing) could softly hear the creaks of wooden stair bearing a heavy pressure for a moment. Rain, bored, looked at the designs of the bumps of the wall. She was trying to see if there were any shapes. After about 4 minutes of this, she heard the stairs creak again. That was fast... Especially since I heard him take a shower.

Lium approached her and held out his hand. Rain stood and took it as he lead her to the stairs. "Where are we going?" she asked, curious. "The dining room of course! It's upstairs." he replied with mock dumbfoundment. The stairs were oak, but looked very old, too. They were placed in a cylinder opening, wall lamps (that were matching the first two, of course) circled around with the stairs.

Rain looked down as they took the steps. She had to go slower, considering her heels. Lium noticed this, and tightened his grip on her hand and went as slow as she needed. She was also on the side without the railing. Of course. Rain could feel the blood heating in her cheeks. I didn't expect this!

Finally- finally, they reached the top. 27 steps in all. The hallway was opened with arches where the opening for the stairs was, which was on the left. Everywhere else, of course, was fully walled. The arches had a wooden railing that matched the stairs to prevent anyone from falling through. She could hear Faithfully by Journey play quietly down the hallway towards another wide opening that had white carpet. The hallway itself had wooden floors. Guess what, it matched! They walked towards the music.

The part where it went Woah oh woah oh, Rain unconcoiusly started to hum, and they entered the dining room. The dining room was connected to another, smaller, living area. Only the living area had carpet, and the dining room had wooden floors. The table and chairs were a lighter wood, and had 6 chairs around the rectangle table. There was a small bar that separated the two areas. The chandelier had four lights, and looked like the others. Does everything match in this place?

Lium walked her over to the table, and pulled a seat out for her. Once she sat- which was on the longer part of the table, not the head- she thanked him, and he smiled. He strolled onto the oposite side of the table and sat down. He pulled out his phone- An iPhone 5?- and texted somebody quickly. Probably the waiter or whatever. Shortly after, a man, about 18 or so, paced in and set down two silver trays that were covered with a silver dome. "What would you like to drink?" the server asked, trying to not look at anything but Rain. She smiled slghtly as she replied, "Do you have sweet tea?"

"Yes ma'am. Cold or warm?"

"Cold, please."

"Care for a lemon?"

"Um... no thank you."

He then looked at Lium, and asked, "The usual, sir?" Lium nodded. "Yes," and the boy left. Rain followed him with her eyes as far as she could without turning her head, since she had the back to the door. "Where's the kitchen?" Rain asked, confused because there was a bar right there... Lium looked at her for a second before replying with, "Oh, it's in the room right before this one." Huh, Rain didn't remember seeing a door or opening. I guess it was on Lium's side...

Lium opened the trays. One had two plates with a set of silverware wraped in a cloth napkin. The other had a large bowl of Fettucini Alfredo in it. Yum! Rain's eyes widen for a moment- just a moment- but Lium had noticed. "You like Italian?" he asked, trying to hide the amusement tainting his voice. "Yes." Rain raised her chin up slightly, with an I-like-it-and-I'm-proud-of-it look in her eyes. "Very good then!" Lium grinned at her and dished out the plates.

Then they ate.
