Joshua draped an arm over Rain's shoulder, and they walked over to one of the smaller cabins. "This is where our youngest member lives." Joshua explained. "She wanted to meet you." Rain grinned. "How old is she?" Josh furrowed his eyebrows as he thought. "Mmm... probably three or four."

They opened the front door and walked inside. At once, they were greeted by a squealing little girl. "Daddy, you brought the Luna like I asked!" The toddler ran up to John and jumped into his arms. Rain giggled and waved at her. "You can call me Rain. What's your name?" How could Joshua not know his own second hand's daughter's age?

I do not mind, Luna. Don't get onto him because of me. John had a glint of amusement in his eye. "I'm Faith, and I'm fo-wer!" Faith laughed in a high pitch. "What a pretty name for a pretty girl." Rain complemented.

"Alright, Faith. The Luna has much to do no, okay?" Joshua tried to smile at her a bit, and shifted towards the door. "You can stay with your daughter until you're needed, John." Rain told him. He beameed and glanced at Josh, freezing. Rain turned to Joshua, who was glaring at her with his arms crossed.

What? I have two body guards already, why keep an extra one away from his daughter? she snapped at him. "Let's go, Cassidy. Bye, John, bye, Faith!" Rain opened the door, ignoring the glowering Joshua, and stalked off. "Rain, hold on." Joshua groaned and hurried after the two women. Rain stopped and sighed. Careful, your mate's a very grumpy person. Cassidy linked. Yeah, but I'll work that out of him.

They were back in Joshua's house, sitting on the couch. Joshua had introduced her to most of the pack. Many of the males who didn't have a mate stared at her uncomfortably. She also met a pregnant woman named Jewel, who was about twenty-one, and was allowed to fell her swollen belly. Then she met a brunette female that was Rain's age that had semi-dark green eyes named Keara. "I think we'll be good friends." Rain had told Joshua, but he only looked ahead.

Now they sat on opposite ends of the couch, bored. It was ten at night, and Rain was getting tired. "Where's my bedroom?" she finally asked. Joshua set down his book and stood up. He walked over to the opening of the wooden stairs, waiting for Rain, who scurried after him.

He walked up the steps and turned into a short hallway. They stopped at the last door on the left. "Here you are." He extended his arm in a gesture for her to go in first. The room was just large enough to fit a double bed, a night stand with an antique lamp on it, and a medium sized dresser.

Rain headed to the iPhone charger that was sitting on the night stand and plugged in her phone. "Thanks, Joshua." she sighed. He only shrugged and replied smoothly, "It's only a room." Rain shook her head. "No, I mean for everything. For saving me; for telling me Lium's true intentions." She groaned. "I'm going to have to ask Cassidy to get me a pregnancy test..."

Joshua chuckled. "I'll go tell her to get one now. And they're all in good tidings, dear girl." Then he left.

The next morning, Rain woke to a soft, white light coming through the window on the opposite wall of her bed. She pulled the cloud-like, white comforter off of her and sat up. Noticing the pink box on her night stand, she sighed, grabbed it, and started to look for a bathroom.

Rain walked out of her tiny room, with the box in hand, and began to open random doors. The first door she opened, the one across from her room, was a small bathroom. Quickly, Rain closed the door behind her and fumbled with the box's opening. She pulled out a stick and walked to the toilet.

After waiting the five minutes the box had instructed to do, Rain was nervous to look at the results. She checked the box's key for the symbols, then pulled the stick off the counter, her eyes closed. Rain counted to three and opened her eyes.

Rain slowly plodded down the stairs. She spotted Joshua conversing with one of the males she met yesterday. I think his name is Skotter... Yeah, Skooter Ford. They both looked up, and Skooter headed out the back door. "Ah, there you are, Rain- are you alright?" he asked when he noticed she was pale in the face.

Shakily, she shook her head. "No..." she replied, then burst into tears. Joshua glanced around, unsure of what to do. "What's wrong, then?" Rain took in a quivering breath. "It came back positive." she mumbled through her hands. "Why did I not run when I found him in the woods? Why did I let him in my house?" Rain kept weaping and shaking her head.

It took half an hour for Joshua to slow Rain's tear flow- with the help of Cassidy. "Why were you crying?" Cassidy asked, rubbing Rain's back. They had moved to the couch. Joshua was standing in front of them, and Rain glanced at him. He slowly nodded. "You can tell her, darling. The whole story." Excluding our personal secret.

Rain nodded and told her everything. "So, because of what Joshua did to help me, I accepted his request to be his mate." Rain concluded. Cassidy frowned. "So this Lium guy... he wanted you to get pregnant so he could make a family made army... and you are pregnant?" She shook her head sadly.

"Yes," Joshua finally spoke, "Lium wants to enslave the entire human race and hunt us wolves down." Both Cassidy and Rain gasped. Rain began to cry again. "What am I going to do with it? I won't have an abortion, though!" Rain looked at them through foggy vision.

"You and Josh could raise it!" piped Cassiy. "It'll help people believe that it's yours, Josh, since you two are mates." Rain nodded thoughtfully. "Okay, I'll think about it." She smiled softly at Cassidy. "And thanks for helping me, Cass." Cassidy patted Rain's head. "No problem, my shape shifter friend."
