Kagami stood face to face with her challenger, sword in hand. She politely bowed to her competitor, before walking away with clenched fists. How could she lose? How? Her mother was going to kill her! She wanted to scream and run away and maybe even punch something. But she pulled herself together and speed off to her fencing class with her head hanging low.

At least she could redeem herself at this fencing class. Her instructor had asked her to help coach beginners, so at least she would look incredible in their eyes, even if she was a failure in her mother's.

She pushed open the glass doors and stride across the room to face the line of beginners.

"Hello everyone, my name is Kagami and I will be your assistant coach for today."

From there the fencing coach took over, kagami demonstrating moves here and there. Until a girl that could barely hold her sword called kagami over.

The girl took off her helmet, revealing a pair of eyes that were as blue as ice, eyes that if you looked into deep enough, you were sure to find stars.

Kagami snapped out of her stare and tried to focus on what that girl was saying.

"... so that's why I wanted to start fencing! Anyway, as you can probably tell I'm horrible at this, and well you seem like you know what you're doing so would you mind helping me?" Marinette asked nervously. "Sorry if I freaked you out I tend to ramble when I'm nervous and I mean I'm not really sure why I-"

"I'll help." Marinettes eyes softened at Kagami's words.

"Thank you." She spoke breathlessly.

"So let's get started. Here's what your doing wrong." Kagami began to correct Marinettes stance. Marinette couldn't help but blush when Kagami put her hand on the small of her back.

After an hour of them practicing, Marinette was actually becoming decent. She really didn't need Kagami anymore, but she chose to stick around, just in case.

Adrien watched from the corner, his blood boiling. He couldn't help but feel jealous. He was supposed to break her heart, but then he got to know her as Chat. Don't get me wrong, breaking her was still his ultimate goal. But he didn't want her with anybody else. And he couldn't stand watching anyone else flirt with his princess.

He grit his teeth as he watched the two girl share a laugh, when Marinette almost poked out the instructors eye with her sword.

"Hey Marinette." Adrien spoke in a sinister voice as he made his way up to her. Her sword clanked as it feel to the floor.

"Marinette is everything ok?" Kagami asked while protectively placing a hand on her shoulder. Marinette wasn't sure why she felt afraid, but she hadn't seen him since she slapped him, she walked away before he could react so maybe she was a afraid of what he was going to do to her.

I mean he saved her from that creep the other night, but once again she walked away before he could react.

Adrien grabbed her wrist and pulled her close so he could whisper in her ear.

"I think you and I need to have a little talk."

Marinette tried to yank her wrist away but that only made him hold tighter.

"Please," She whimpered "please let me go! You're hurting me." Her eyes started to well up.

His grip loosened for a second, his eyes softening. She pulled her wrist away and ran. She ran as fast as she could.

Her eyes were clouded with tears, so she didn't notice the boy walking her way. She ran straight into him, falling into his chest.

"Kim! I'm so sorry!" She yelped climbing off of his chest.

"It's alright cupcake." She smiled at the nickname, dusting herself off. She offered him a hand, which he graciously accepted.

"Hey, are you alright cupcake? And don't try to lie to me, I can see your red eyes."

"I-um well..." Kim looked over her shoulder to see the last person he wanted to see walking towards them. Adrien Agreste.

"Marinette, did he hurt you?" His eyes suddenly became dark as he looked down at her red wrist.

He didn't wait for answer before grabbing her non injured wrist and running like his life depended on it, dragging her behind.

"Kim what are you doing?" She yelled.

"I won't let him hurt you cupcake!"

"Kim stop!" He stopped in his tracks and looked in her eyes.

"I'm sorry Mari, but-" she slipped her hand into his and started to run again.

"Try to keep up slow poke!" His heart started to flutter.

"Oh you're on, cupcake!"
