The Princess Choice

Chapter 6

"Hey, come on, run!" Annalise screamed her voice full of so much joy and happiness.

"You are a princess Ana; you should not be running..." King Richard laughed as he ran slowly to catch up to Annalise.

Annalise could only laugh because she knew deep down that if Richard ran as fast as he could he would catch her in a matter of seconds."You are just mad you are being too slow..." she taunted him.

She screamed out and laughed as she felt him catch her and wrap himself around her. "I caught you princess!" he kissed her cheek, and he felt her tense, but he just smiled as he pulled himself away from her. "So, I have a surprise for you before you ran away!" he laughed, stepping back and giving each other some space.

"Tell me what it is!" she smiled brightly at him, excited about what he wanted to show her.

He got down on one knee and pulled out a little box. "I know you are not over him... but I also know I can make you happy you laugh with me in a way that I have never seen you laugh with another, and with time you can love me as I love you because I know you must feel the butterflies. Analise life will be hard and messy, especially considering we will be uniting two kingdoms, but I want that with you. I want to share my life and my world with you because you are it for me. Marry me Analise make me the happiest man in the world and let me show you what life and love should really feel like... how painless it should be and all-consuming. Let me show you the type of love that will fight for you, plead for you and move heaven and earth to be with you." He smiled wide, and she could see the raw emotion in his eyes.

"That's beautiful..." she said full of shock at his words and the butterflies she could feel in her stomach so many things ran thru her head but then so did Francis and instead of saying so many things she wanted to say she decided to make a joke. "I did not hear a question in there, King Richard..."

Richard laughed out loud "Annalise, will you please marry me?"
"Yes, I do..." she smiled at him as he held her hand.

"Richard laughed "Look, hey, I know you love me but calm down...I do is later right now it is yes I will..."

They both laughed hard as Annalise realized she was bested. They both smiled as he stood and put the ring on her finger pulled her into a hug, and gently kissed her forehead "I promise to do everything in my power to make you fall in love with me."

"I promise to try my best but to always love you and accept I cannot live without you." She laughed.
