"George, I need your help..." she whispered to the king's head servant.

"My job is to serve you and his majesty, what can I do my queen?" he bowed with a sad smile. He knew how she was hurting her parents had been dead less than a month and the king had been indifferent towards her she had forbade anyone from telling him because she did not want his pity.

"I want to fall in love with the king and honestly I think I already am but he has turned hard towards me and I want to win him over if you could help..." the queen smiled and she saw the excitement in Georges eyes.

"You know my queen I am very proud at how strong you have been thru this all and as for the king I have cared for my king since he was in his mother's womb and he has only ever been in love once and I watched him as he fell in love."

"Who!" Analise flinched a little feeling dominance over Richard because he was her husband after all.

"It was a girl he met, and she became his world where she went he followed and I saw the heartbreak he felt when she only had eyes for another but he remained faithful that his love was strong enough for the both of them and with time she would love him back..."

Analise felt guilt "Is it me?"

"Yes, it is my queen for a long time he had to have enough faith for the both of you and I believe my queen it is your turn to take on this burden because he has carried it long enough... if I am not to forward to say." George smiled at the girl he had grown to consider a daughter.

For the next two months, Annalise fought for Richard while he continued to slowly regain his strength from his ailment but enough was enough, she had done everything in her power and all he did was ignore her. He had made it clear that it was too late for them that his heart was not hers to have anymore and that he had moved on.

Annalise told herself she would try once more and that was it she had asked him to dinner after she had made sure that all his meetings and things ran early so he could meet her. Her last resort was to lay her hands on the table and tell him exactly how she felt and if it was too late they could at least find a way to be friends.

"Fine, Richard...I quit!" Analise threw her hands in the air as she felt the hot tears burning her eyes. She had planned a romantic dinner and lit hundreds of candles by herself to surprise him and he was a no-show at the time they promised and had just walked in 3 hours late.

"I never asked you to try! You made your choice; now live with it!!" Richard slammed his fist into the table, and the whole table shook, and the wine fell spilling on her lap all over the dress she had specially picked out for him.

She jumped up and the tears spilled, and she cried out in frustration trying to turn off the candles on the table before they caught fire. "You are right I am so stupid, and I made my choice, and now I have to live with it but you can never say I did not try." She ran out of the room slamming the door and ran all the way to her room and cried out in so much pain realizing she truly had no one now.

"Clean this up George!" the king felt frustrated he hated hurting her, but he was done fighting for a woman who did not love him he refused to feel any more pain or hurt for her.

"Sire, if I may... I am not one to intrude, but if you..." George felt embarrassed speaking out.

"Speak, George please you know this freely." The king looked at the man who was like a father to him.

"She woke up this morning before the sun and went to the market, picked out all the ingredients, bought a dress in your favorite color in the style that is your favorite, and spent the greater part of the afternoon cooking followed by the greater part of the evening lighting candles and in everything refused help. Sire she was preparing everything to tell you how she feels and to also inform you her parents have been dead since your sickness..."

Richard felt the blood from his face drain, and he looked at George shocked "What!"

"Yes, Majesty King Francis's father murdered them both before you fell ill... it is why King Francis hugged her because he was apologizing for it... he hugged her, and she forgave him, but she pushed him away, sir...pushed him away because I believe her heart is now yours..." George spoke quietly.

"Damn it!" Richard ran out and ran into her bedroom and found her crying. "Why are you crying?"

"Why do you care?" she spoke back, her voice full of sorrow.

"Because I am completely in love with you!" he ran up to her and kissed her hard.

Her anger got the best of her, and she pushed him "I have been trying for weeks to win you over, but you have made it perfectly clear that you do not want me, and you do not love me." She felt frustrated, and the tears would not stop.

"How can you ever think that I do not love you! I cannot breathe without you. I have proven this to you over and over again!" he slammed his lips into her, and he kissed her harder than even he thought was possible and was surprised to find that she did not run but kissed him just as hard back and full of emotion.

She pulled him onto the quilt she was sitting on and moaned out as he lay on her. He jumped back with his eyes dilated full of lust and looked at her and found that nothing in his life had ever been harder than not taking her and making her his, this instant.

"Richard, please, I want you... I have wanted you for weeks now, but I have been scared to... please..." he slammed his mouth into her as he finally claimed the woman he had been dreaming about his whole life of being with.

When the night was over, and they had spoken about her parents, and she was finally ready to tell her about his feelings Richard again put his foot in his mouth "Richard I wanted to tell you that l..."

"I am going, to be honest. I thought you had let Francis have you however he wanted you... I would never have thought you were a virgin..." he cut her off and then felt stupid for talking this way to her with no reason because he knew she was a virgin because he had just made her bleed and he knew she was someone who always talked about waiting to be married.

"Richard, I...! You... That is what you think of..." he saw her eyes fill with tears as she quickly dressed and ran out.

"What is wrong with me..." he wiped his face and imagined her running into her favorite spot which was in the forest where she liked to go and let out her pain. He stood after laying there for about half an hour and pulled on some clothes and ran into the room where George was. If he had any chance of fixing this, he needed Georges's help, and he needed it now.

"George I..." Richard walked in, and George looked up at him with sad eyes.

"I saw the queen run out, sire... what..."

"Enemy fire!!" a guard walked in covered in blood and collapsed on the floor. "the queen is lost in the forest, sire we tried... we can't find her." His eyes remained open as the life left his body.
